First of all the STAFF are amazing! Especially the teeny weeny Cecilia from the restaurant. She's absolutely delightful and very welcoming :. Thank you Cecilia and other members of staff. She deserves a holiday bonus : The room is a little dark and tired but the bed was one of the most comfortable ones we've ever slept in room 19. The Hair/wash products were noteably of a good quality. We've stayed in a lot of hotels : Down side. Lobby furnishings could do with a little spruce up. They're a bit skinny with the milk, tea, coffee etc. In the room. But we're confident that the staff would sort it if asked. Thank you for our stay. Nearby activities: Restaurants
Great location, walking distance to a lot and it's very close to the tube station on the Piccadilly line. Clean hotel with very attentive staff. Really good aircon that we loved. Big comfy pillows and spacious bathroom. The room was a little dated but very clean. The layout was a little odd, two single beds in a small room attached to another room with desk and chairs but TV is in the room with the beds. Still, it was fine for the night we needed. Would definitely stay again.
I really regretted staying here. Although the location was wonderful, the overall experience was unfortunately disappointing. We arrived at the hotel and our room was not ready, which is normal. We went out and came back towards the evening to find that the hotel had already placed our luggage in a room. The room was not great so we changed the room and had to move all of our bags ourselves. The next day, we were out for the entire day and came back around 9 pm, to find that housekeeping is only beginning to clean our room. We were very tired and just asked housekeeping to leave the room at that point. The following morning at 6 am, the fire alarm went off for a few seconds, which was incredibly loud. When we were checking out, we asked if someone could help us with our bags. We waited 30 minutes for someone to come, and then decided to make our bags down ourselves. I mentioned this to the reception staff and they said “Well it wasn’t me you called”. Wouldn’t give this hotel more than 2-3 stars.
As a guest with VIP status, I booked a superior room. When we arrived we were able to swap the first dark little room for a family room, room 209, with a pleasant view of the street. The interior was clearly outdated, not to say unreasonable for this room category and disappointed those who relied on the pictures when booking. The rooms will probably be renovated next year. This room urgently needs to be renovated, especially because of the security deficiencies. As a status guest, you are usually happy about an appreciative upgrade that recognizes your loyalty to the hotel chain. Now that we had suppressed our escape reflex, we made ourselves comfortable in the room. It was only supposed to be for one night. To open and close the curtains you have to step halfway behind the sofa. There were lots of sharp nails sticking out of the back of these. On my side of the bed the bed frame was broken. I only noticed this at night when I wanted to go to the toilet and injured my calf. Luckily I wasn't charged for the bloody bed linen. This kind of souvenir is not my thing, as the spot has now become infected. No welcome water, the supermarket had to save us. Nice cozy breakfast room. Young waiter, nice guy, friendly and competent. There was one dish from the menu but also a small buffet, absolutely fine. The Egg Benedict was first class. The milk coffee is the way we like it and we were able to reorder it. Unfortunately one of our worst hotel experiences in recent years. Translated with Google
First I want to say that the staff is amazing, especially in reception. This is a 4 star hotel with the quality of a 3 star. They don't offer the amenities of a 4 star. No Q-tips, cotton balls or manicure kit in bathroom. No slippers or robes and the bed was hard and like sleeping on a slab of concrete. The room was small, even for European standards, and the noise from the cars outside our window all night made it impossible to sleep. They really should consider double paned windows to cut back on the street noise. Certainly not worth 500€ for 2 nights. The upside, it was close to the tube station and pretty well located.
Great hotel close to the tube station and also close to the Albert hall And in a great location in London. Room was nice and the breakfast was lovely I had the traditional with all items. Service was good from staff they offer you a free glass of wine i on arrival arrive they go the extra miles. Thanks Nearby activities: Great close to the tube station operating picadilly district and circle lines into London Food & drinks: Breakfast was nice
I have Radisson VIP status, but despite this I still got a room without windows. And that was after demanding to move from a 'non-smoking' room in which someone had obviously just smoked 20 Benson & Hedges. This hotel has no real public areas - it's just reception, very small bar/ restaurant, then a warren of narrow corridors and stiff doors to multiple small rooms. Holiday Inn up the road is much better - they've resisted the temptation to strip out public areas in order to cram in more rooms. A much pleasanter experience. Holiday Inn even has a really nice garden with fishponds.
This will take a minute to read. So it's listed as a 4 star hotel. I don't feel it qualified. We have stayed at 3 star Marriott hotels in middle of nowhere Minnesota with better service and amenities. The old style charm was nice, even a bit elegant. The room we got i think was a standard room for 2 people. It had a full size bed rather than at least a queen, the room was fairly cramped, the fridge was filthy and the door hadn't been shut all the way as it caught on the outer door hinge so took awhile for stuff to get cold. We also have some medical issues and requested 4 additional pillows for support as these are feather types that squish very easily and were told no more than 2 extra. The bathroom looked nice but likewise was cramped, only half the shower was covered from the floor and its a rather large step up into the tub, not ideal at all for shorter people like my wife. Also no microwave to reheat any food you had, we went to the bar/restaurant to ask if they would and were firmly told no they couldn't. The room was VERY warm and even turning the air all the way down it took several hours to get to a comfortable temp but seemed to have difficulty staying there. The bed was also EXTREMELY hard, almost zero give to it to allow comfort couple that with the lack of requested pillows makes for a miserable sleep. The 3 good aspects were its location, relatively close to the various tourist spots expect to pay a LOT for cabs as the roads and traffic are NYC nightmare like, and Gloucester road being right there was nice. They also have a thing at the front desk simply push a button and it calls a cab which was great as hailing 1 eats a lot of time. Lastly the breakfast spread was pretty good. This is all in comparison to other THREE star hotels we have stayed at and unfortunately without some changes this doesn't measure up to even that. The radisson scandinavia in Oslo was really good though.
Normally we tend to stay in Marriott properties, but on this occasion we were meeting with friends to celebrate a series of birthdays. First off, check-in time was supposed to be 3pm. However, a number of our rooms were not available at that time. As we all had to be ready to leave for birthday celebrations at 5pm, this constituted our first issue with this hotel. Staff at the Reception desk appeared to be particularly unperturbed with our difficulties checking in at the appointed time. They seemed to consider it normal and acceptable - not a big deal. When we did manage to obtain our rooms we were directed to the lift elevator furthest from Reception. We were not offered any help with our bags and had to haul everything from one end of the property to the other. The hotel comprises of a series of former domestic residences, stitched together, so, picture a scenario whereby you start your journey in the middle building, travel 2 or 3 buildings north, in order to find the elevator and then take that elevator to the 3rd floor. At that stage, one is then forced to take a series of rambling corridors in the other direction, through about 5 or 6 former residences. Having arrived at this point, to add insult to injury, we were then forced to carry our bags down a flight of stairs in order to reach our room! As we subsequently found out, the hotel has two lifts, but the one that would have suited us was out of order for our entire stay - no mention, no apologies. Room small. Bathroom tiny! Residents bar - non-existent! To add insult to injury, when we asked to have toilet paper delivered to our room, the request was ignored! In summary, this is a poorly managed hotel that ought to be avoided should one wish to have a fun time in a wonderful city. Stay somewhere else! There are far better hotels in London! Rooms: Small! Noteworthy details: Poor attitude among hotel staff
Room was dirty with lots of long black hairs, which were also in the bath. Bath full of patches nasty looking patches. Access to taps and soap etc not easy due to where installed. Had to clean bath first and took forever to run it. Defo not worth £200 a night for a single room. Took forever to check-in, broken lifts, heavy smell of cigarettes. A single G&T nearly £13 at the bar. One good thing was the breakfast was great, however, would rather stay in a premier inn
