Extremely Rude staff - asked for their help about my stay at the first night including ; 1. Poor rooms with bugs and; 2. Hygiene in disarray 3. Strong smell in the room 4. Require me to change of room 3 times within 12 A manager came out and said “Long story short! You will get nothing”. I tried to record the conversation as they told lies multiple times including they will sort the things out for me but eventually did nothing. The manager claims I needed his consent to record the communication but I called the police right away. The police confirmed that they misled me and interfered with my rights and asked me to keep recording if I wanted. I paid for 4 nights but due to such experience, I moved out immediately after the first night to another hotel without any compensation. I rather spend extra than stay with them and ruin my trip. This is absolutely disgusting.
Good Location, But Not the Step Up I've Expected The staff were efficient and helpful, though they generally came across as polite rather than warmly welcoming. When I reported issues, like noise from an adjoining room, the reception team was prompt in helping us, even moving us to a quieter room without question for the last night. Unfortunately, our first family room felt dated, especially the bathroom. We also had issues like a leaking toilet and an overall musty smell, which made it feel less clean than expected. This hotel does have perks for those looking for traditional service amenities like room service and a grand lobby. Still, we didn’t feel the premium over other area hotels was fully justified. Bar staff were fantastic—engaged and welcoming—and other teams, from the breakfast crew to the cleaning staff, were clearly well-managed and focused on guest care. It’s not a bad place to stay, especially if location and classic hotel services are priorities. However, for us, it’s probably a one-time choice at this price point. Pros - Great bar stuff and breakfast is just amazin Cons - Hotel needs refresh - Service charge in bar area even if you alone
The breakfast buffet is wonderful! There is a huge selection of food and beverage items, and the buffet is kept clean and well stocked. Our room is clean, the bed was comfortable, and we ordered room service which was great. We enjoyed the bedroom show and thick cozy robes as well. The hotel is a few steps away from a train station. All of the staff are fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!
The hotel offers easy access to Heathrow Airport and is conveniently located for sightseeing in central London. I stayed there for four nights, and I was impressed by the staff’s hospitality and the quality of the cleaning service. The hotel and its surroundings were quiet at night, providing a safe and comfortable environment. I highly recommend it for medium to long-term stays in central London. Rooms: The cleaning and maintenance were thorough. It was also convenient that free Wi-Fi was available throughout the hotel, including in the guest rooms. Nearby activities: It is in a great location, just a 1-minute walk from Gloucester Road Station, making it perfect for sightseeing with lots of luggage. Additionally, there are several restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, making it very convenient. Safety: As long as you follow the general safety rules in central London, there is no need to worry.
Have just enjoyed a 1 night stay with my 4 year old. All of the staff were so lovely and accommodating especially the lady on the desk I have forgotten her name but it began with A!. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.Rooms: 5/5
Great location, staff extremely efficient and helpful one for all, Hiruni the apartment on the top floor was gigantic but dated, especially the bathroom. This hotel has a great traditional British vibe with room service, huge lobby, elegant staff and an old fashioned focus on guest care. Rooms: Somehow dated, especially bathroom
We stayed for our last stop on our Globus Euro trip for just a night but being at the tail end of things it was an excellent last stop. Location puts you close to several dining area and small shops that are about a 10 minute walk. Hotel staff was very accommodating and attentive. Room was nicely laid out, spacious enough, clean, and comfortable. Several other travelers in our group expressed similar opinions.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very stylish and all what one can expect from a 4star hotel. Room was fine, but neighbors across a bit noisy, so rooms are not soundproof. They work with breakfast vouchers, so ensure you get one when you have breakfast included. Breakfast itself is extensive with both continental and local options
Spend a really great time here. Nice location near the underground. Some restaurants around. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Receptionist was kind and helpful! Thanks a lot to all staff. They were a hard piece of enjoying our trip !Rooms: 4/5
Positives: Check in staff are lovely. Location is brilliant. Cons: Like other reviews, air-conditioning is as loud as plane and didn’t work in the three rooms I was moved to. Yes three. Felt like a sauna. Like other reviews, rooms dirty and could do with a good scrub. Back to your room around 4.30pm with no housekeeping completed despite sign on door. Multiple calls then for fresh towels yes, this proved to be a challenge. Checking out, collecting bags from concierge, all three attendants focused on chatting to random young ladies and checking out Emirates cabin crew… clearly not focused on their job. A very sad lasting impression. I’ll spend a few £££ extra next time and go with something better and more reputable. It’s a real shame as these are all small things that can be rectified. Sadly all the reviews in the world aren’t enough to push this property to do better. They clearly survive based on tour group and corporate bookings.
