5 star hotel experience.This is an excellent hotel for your money clean, modern and the staff the most helpful. Children go free, if they sleep on the existing bed in the room, but you can ask for extra bed for a child. Spa and swimming pool is excellent and the swimming pool open from 6am to 11am and children welcome at any time. The layout of the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi allowed you to watch your kids splashing in the swimming pool, at the same time. Of course kids need to be older in order to do that, but very useful if you are a parent. It is a very pretty and peaceful hotel, with the 5 star ambience and service. Really recommend.

The hotel itself is lovely, the room was a good size although a little old fashioned in some ways. We had a lovely view over the golf course. We came to the hotel as it was our anniversary and booked to use the spa and have treatments. The spa was disappointing to say the least! I felt it was not well kept and the changing rooms were disgusting! Nothing luxurious about it. The treatment was okay- not the best! We had booked dinner for later that evening for 8, we waited 20 minutes to order a drink, the food was okay, again not the best. At the end of the meal we found that the restaurant manager was a rude and arrogant woman with atrocious customer service skills! The following day we had afternoon tea, the scones were still frozen and the tea cups and milk jugs were dirty, I would not recommend this hotel I would also never return to this hotel.

The spa changing rooms are completely separate from the swimming pool changing rooms meaning there is no showers in there. On arrival the staff seemed pleasant. The swimming pool was standard with hot tub. I wouldn't say it felt luxury as you would expect for a spa. We didn't use the steam and sauna rooms. The relaxation room is low lighting with 4 poster beds, bean bags and calming music which was relaxing. The massage for myself was fantastic and hard enough however it wasn't for the other guests I came with. Each of our massages differed from the other but we were all on the same package. Our afternoon tea was at 3pm but for some reason they had us down for 1300. We then had to wait an hour for it, having been told it would be 10 minutes we waited at the table but could have been waiting elsewhere in this time. Atbone stage not 1 toilet had a loo roll! I don't think I would return unless they had a really good offer on.

Lovely rooms, great staff and wonderful licatloc if your after peace. Gold course is good but bland as flat and straight and lakes course is well drained. Links not!. Food good but wine prices high with very limited beer options. Overall a good night's stay and would return.

Terrible experience, we have emailed the staff and received a reply. In our own opinion it was a disgrace, waiting nearly two hours to receive a cheese sandwich and a ham sandwich, and we never received the coffee we had requested. Very unpleasant and will not be visiting again.
