Only used the restaurant as wanted a quick coffee, when I walked in two big smiles welcomed me. Asked if it was possible just coffe and they said yes, some other customers asked for a breakfast which I also ordered at the end. Food was fresh, tasty and the price at £10.99 for the quality and service is excepcional.nOverall very good experience
Hotel room was great but unfortunately the restaurant really let it down hence why I dropped 2 stars.nnWe had breakfast the next morning and in all honesty.. it was shocking.nnThe continent buffet was empty and we kept having to ask staff to bring food out for it...despite the restaurant itself not being busy at all. Yoghurt was left uncovered and not in a fridge so it tasted awful. When they finally brought the bread out it was completely frozen! We had to defrost it in the toaster. The juices were not topped up and the coffee machine stopped working and none of the staff seemed to know how to fix it. Cooked breakfast was not self serve like other premier inns we have been to and it took ages to come out.nnOverall hotel is good but I would not return due to the issues with breakfast.
Great location, close to Colchester’s main train station. Ideal place to stay when there’s concerts on at The Castle Park during the summer months. Not far from town, walkable or plenty of buses to town if you don’t want to walk. A12 not to far away. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Comfortable Stay, Great Breakfast — But Restaurant DisappointsnnStayed at Premier Inn while travelling for work. The hotel was quiet, clean, and the rooms were very comfortable — just what I needed after a long day.nnThe breakfast was nice, with a good selection and fresh options to start the day right.nnUnfortunately, the evening restaurant let the experience down. The menu was very limited, and in my opinion, the food wasn’t great. My meal was included in the work package, but I don’t feel it was good value for money.nnWould stay again for the room and breakfast — but I’d eat elsewhere for dinner next time.
Stayed here for three nights visiting family and found it very clean with an amazingly comfortable bed. The breakfast was a full English and as much as you wanted freshly cooked not a buffet where things are kept warm.nVery enjoyable stay.
