Lovely building.. friendly staff.. few things could improve it... only one bedside table and the shower was hard to adjust to anything but hot... no hairdryer in room but website said there was. Only one side of the bed had a plug socket and no light shades on the lamps by the bed. That said.. I'll stay again.. was a mid week stay.

Fab location with a great building. It's good value too. Our room faced the High Street, so we got some street noise on a Friday night. The bathroom was functional, but could do with a bit of updating, however at this price, that's no surprise. Would return

Old Hotel situated in town centre. Rooms are dated which is in line with the age of the building, however they are cleaned throughout. Staff are pleasant to talk to. Breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh and to order. Overall I've stayed at that hotel for a week and really couldn't fault it.

The hotel is a nice enough place. It has some charm and character being a 15th century building. Room size is adequate with some quirky angles. The decor is a little old. The downside of it being a historic building is the single glazing, which, if you have a room on the front you hear a lot of traffic noise, especially with a busy taxi rank. Opposite are two popular venues so you can hear the people and [loud] music. We visited for a wedding reception and stopped on a Saturday night, the music from Atik/After office hours was still loud after midnight. While the music isn't the hotel's fault, it doesn't help itself out.

I went for my birthday and although we didn't get the special occasions package the one member of staff running the bar waiting and phones .Was very pleasant and made the kitchen aware so little finishing touches were added to my meal .the food was gorgeous however we were the only people in the restaurant so half an hour to wait for starters was a bit much .food well priced.for the price my partner paid for the room which in my opinion wasn't worth it really the roo. Was tired looking .obviously old as per the hotel but tired .the windows are not good at keeping noise out .the lack of dressing gown suprised me as i thought that would be included .the bed although grand was hard .the shower was very cheap and basic .the hotel states it is children friendly but loads of stairs to the room and a step in the bathroom is neither child or elderly friendly my partner found it a struggle with bad legs .I as yet havnt had breakfast .you can certainly hear every aingle noice going door slams creaks etc .an ok but not great Stay given the price 135 ish
