Waldegraves Holiday Park is situated on the beautiful and historic Mersea Island overlooking the sparkling Blackwater Estuary. Family run and owned, Waldegraves is a great mixture of holiday homes and touring areas for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Attractive pitches are a feature at Waldegraves. Guests can enjoy well-maintained standard grass pitches or a limited selection of hard-standing and serviced pitches, some with hedges to offer a greater level of privacy during your stay. For a holiday or short break with all the comforts of home, stay in one of our luxury caravan holiday homes, fully equipped for your perfect family break. Dogs are welcome on site on leads and have their own exercise area. The park facilities include an outdoor heated pool, restaurant, bar and shop. There’s also 4 fishing lakes, children’s play areas, pool tables, a family arcade, entertainment venue, a private beach, a dog walking area, crazy golf, footgolf, a driving range and 18-hole pitch ‘n’ putt course.

Waldegraves is a great holiday park. The caravans are excellent. The heating was amazing, very warm, we had to turn it down as it got too hot in March! There is a good restaurant and separate bar and another venue with a stage and bar. We could see the sea (river) from our caravan. The staff were friendly. There is parking outside each caravan. I would recommend this holiday park.

We had a motorhome pitch on a very muddy pitch. Had to get a tow just to straighten the van up and another tow on the day we left. Fair play to the guys with the quad and tractor. They did an excellent job under awful conditions. Not the sites fault I know. All down to the weather conditions. Didn't use the showers as our family we were with, had a static so used there's. The shower blocked looked clean enough though. Son went fishing, kids went to the arcade and went in the bar one evening. Very busy due to a big boxing match on TV.

Great holiday park.. Loads for everybody of any age.. Golf, swimming, beaches.. Mersea is a great holiday destination.. Brilliant little town and not too far away from Colchester. You can see some of the best sunsets from Mersea Island.. There are always seafood places and some really lovely cafes and pubs in West Mersea.. Although, Waldergraves has a really nice restaurant and pub itself, which makes the camp self contained.. They also host a great car boot sale on one of their fields next to the holiday camp during the summer months, which gets quite big during the summer holiday season.. Very worth a visit whilst it's on..

Generally good service but experience wasn't helped by the fact that everywhere was soggy and boggy. Food in the restaurant was tasty and plentiful but some of it wasn't available, The wine cooler was broken, the Wi-Fi didn't work and everywhere was so boggy! Hope that things are fixed before the season gets going.

Very lovely holiday park with everything you need, just one star off as it has no indoor pool.
