The room was surprisingly excellent for what I was expecting at the price I paid. The only downside was the noise of the traffic circle right outside our window, which died off nicely at night when the quiet was needed most. The food was some of the best I've had in a hotel, anywhere, and everything on the menu was reasonably priced. They even accommodated my diet by letting me substitute the standard English breakfast with something Kosher free of charge.

Lovely hotel to stay in , it's very comfortable I would highly recommend this hotel. It is very close to everything pubs , shops, primark etc . Peter is a lovely man and goes out of his way to help you with whatever you need

The service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the room was massive

My boyfriend and I came to dinner here, and we could not have asked for better food or service. Our meal was delicious, and extremely satisfying. The atmosphere was perfect and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone living in, or visiting, Colchester town.
