Wonderful afternoon of relaxation and pampering. On arrival the young gentleman on reception was fab. Kind and most helpful explaining about what to expect, booking us in, showing us where to go snd generally just really welcoming.nSwimming pool and steam room were great then on to the relaxation room. We went a little early so we had time to enjoy the warming beds. Room was nice speakers a bit tinny with the music which buzzed a smidge. Then into our treatment room. Ladies were really respectful and welcoming. We had a Swedish massage and a facial. Absolutely fantastic! So relaxing and really thorough.nCouldn't fault my day at all. Finished it off with one of the cafes smoothies. Also tasty. Thank you all.
Came for a spa day. There is nothing “spa” about this place. Had to hire your robe, towel you only got one and flip flops. Felt like we was at our local gym. Pool freezing, jacuzzi was that strong with chlorine it burnt your eyes. One of the saunas was as cold as the pool. The showers are dirty and look like they’ve not been cleaned for weeks. Children able to use the pool. Don’t waste your money they shouldn’t even advertise this place as a spa.
Great Gym with great facilities. Right off York ring road so convenient to get to. Swimming pool,can get busy and best to avoid the aqua aerobics times if you just want to swim. Nice cafe with friendly staff for coffee, drinks and food afterwards. Good programme of classes instructor led and virtual. Good PT and physios on site. Spa treatments if that’s your thing. Clean and friendly.
I was gifted the voucher for a day pass with 3 treatments. I took a friend with me and purchased a day pass. There was some confusion with the transfer of the voucher, but the staff were flexible and were able to offer a later appointment for the treatments as we were travelling some distance. The gym was large and very well equipped, the pool was nice and the changing rooms were nice to use with great lockers. The steam room and sauna were great and very relaxing. The treatments were very good, and Talia was a very good masseuse, but they were quite short and if I had paid for them I think they would not have represented good value for money. All the facilities were clean, and the coffee was very nice. You were able to bring your own towels, which saved the expense of hiring them, which I think is a real positive which I hope is retained, particularly as this an environmentally friendly way of towel usage. The reception staff were a little off hand, and a more comprehensive explanation of eg the lockers, which a very helpful cleaner explained, would have been good. It was a really enjoyable day, and I would recommend.
Went to celebrate my 40th birthday with 8 other women all booked in for treatments. The best massage I've had in a while came out feeling refreshed. Enjoyed the relaxation room with low light and music. It's nice to see free water on offer. Had lunch was enjoyable. Didn't get to experience the rest of the spa day due to travelling but will be likely to book again for a full day.
