Went to Swinton Park for a twilight spa evening. The hotel is beautiful and set in scenic grounds. The spa itself is second to none that I have been to; spotlessly cleaning, a lot of thought into extra touches and the facilities themselves are fantastic. We went for a meal in the terrace after our time in the spa, and the food was incredible. All staff members I encountered were exemplary. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Have stayed here many times before, it was lovely, went to book again online instead of calling. Received an email confirmation with a £0 price as it was when booking on their own website and pre paid my £100 deposit. Received an email the following day to say it would cost me £375 to stay. When I forwarded my confirmation email I was offered my prepayment back but no discount for the Thursday night stay or apology for bringing it to their attention that they must have a problem with their booking software. Very sad at the customer service so decided to write this review as they could not be bothered with their customers so I will not recommend or stay their again. Very sad as normally Yorkshire hospitality is lovely. Maybe need new staff...

A friend and myself went for the mini half day spa package that included use of the spa facilities a mini treatment and afternoon tea. The actual spa facilities here are fabulous. Some of the best I've been to so that part of the package was lovely. The treatment was just half hour but was fine. The girl I had for my massage couldn't speak very good English so it made trying to communicate my requirements with her very difficult. The staff however were very friendly and helpful. The very disappointing aspect of this package was the afternoon tea. A big let down. It wasn't a proper afternoon tea by any stretch of the imagination. We got a sandwich on a plate in bread that seemed like it had been left out all day.. it wasn't nice. We were then given 2 full size scones on a plate and a separate slice of chocolate cake. It was very strange as It wasn't afternoon tea at all. It was like someone just couldn't be bothered! We didn't complain at the time because it was a treat for my friend for her birthday and we didn't want to spoil the afternoon. We would return but on booking we'll mention the bad experience about the afternoon tea2abd perhaps ask just to have something off the main menu instead... all said it is a lovely spot and my friend and I hope to go again.

Amazing Chefs table experience on first night. Would highly recommend booking. Lovely room hotel and setting. The newly built spa was lovely and the massages we had booked were excellent. Highly recommend, we had a great 10th anniversary trip there.

Very disappointed with New Year afternoon tea here. Service was hopeless. It was a buffet meal but we had to wait ages for prosecco and then it seemed a big problem to supply us with tea! Stewed cups of tea were brought eventually but it was a struggle to get our own pot. The sandwiches had thick bread and thin filling. Scones were good but we had to ask for jam and cream as there were just dirty, empty containers on the buffet. We stood waiting so long that we had to ask a second person as the first never came back. We did complain at the time but no one was taking overall responsibility. It was such a shame because it was a special treat at £21.00 a head.
