Nestled in 77 acres of woodland Hazlewood Castle is more than just a hotel, dating back pre- Domesday book and throughout the years having been a home to Carmelite friars, the Vavasour family and not forgetting a spell as a maternity hospital it's already got so many stories to tell.
Now with 32 bedrooms & suites, on site day spa & live for today outdoor adventures our guests really are spoilt for choice.

A hidden gem ! We spent two nights here in one of the suites which was totally relaxing. The place is steeped in history & we were fortunate enough to have a tour of the castle which at £5.50 was a bargain, it was extremely interesting. We felt that the menu in the restaurant could have been better, there was little choice, thankfully our meals were included in the price as to eat in the restaurant would have cost over £45.00 per person for a three course dinner. That said, we would definitely return, as we enjoyed it so much.

Fantastic!
Myself and my wife had a superb wedding on 03.03.18. Huge thanks go to Kelly for all the organisation, special thanks also to Emma and Jenny and their team for smooth running of the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. 

Couldn’t fault anything, the care and attention given across the weekend was great. 

Really also want to say a personal thank you to the breakfast staff on the Sunday morning who made sure our little boy had coco pops before we left.

Beautiful setting and grounds, very relaxed and peaceful. Enjoyed our stay very much and we will be returning.  Very good therapist in the treatment rooms had a brilliant scrub and massage by Maria. Loved the log fires burning.

Food was excellent. Beautiful surroundings but our Christmas lunch was ruined as room was  cold and heating inadequate even though the open fire was laid but unlit. Lacked atmosphere and our group were not welcomed on our arrival. Service at table was ad hoc and had to ask for sundries such as butter and cranberry sauce. Candles as centrepiece on table not lit until dessert. Ladies toilet dirty. Would  not recommend or revisit. Felt all these faults were due to poor management not staff themselves as they did not seem to have been briefed properly. Very disappointing.

Stayed in the elderflower room in the castle. More than generous sized room with a lovely four-poster bed, additional seating and fireplace. The photos don't do it justice. Breakfast facilities were more than adequate.
