The Brixton Recreation Centre had absolutely everything we needed for a fun-filled day with the kids.nWe started off in the fantastic soft play area, which was perfect for children of all ages. After that, we cooled off in the swimming pool—there were plenty of lifeguards on duty, which made us feel really safe, and the pool floaties added an extra bit of fun to the session.nnTo top it all off, we ended the day at the brand-new bowling alley, which truly felt like a VIP experience thanks to the impressive setup. The kids had an amazing time and already can’t wait to come back. Neither can we!
Machines constantly out of order, often for months at a time. Stepper has been out of action since JANUARY! Writing this in June.nnGym floor is often filthy, covered with dust mirrors are never cleaned.nnReception and gym staff are friendly, upper management have really let them down by providing standards far below what should be considered ‘adequate’.nnFix up!
Leyla’s massage is deeply rejuvenating and restoring. Afterwards, I feel an increased sense of alive presence and a pervasive sense of mindful calmness. Leyla is knowledgeable about all aspects of health and fitness. I totally appreciate how she modifies her skilful massage to integrate holistically within the bigger picture of my health and wellbeing landscape.
Good morning. Yesterday, September 28, 2025, we made a reservation for 6 children at 3:00 p.m. at the playground. The online rate for all 6 children was paid. At the end of the reserved hour, and with one child still to enter, during that time period from 3 to 4 p.m., my family and I were yelled at and attacked by a woman in a gray sweatshirt. We never saw her name on her ID. We tried to explain several things to her. That we wanted to pay for an extra hour for all the children, but one child didn't show up. But we weren't listened to. We were just run over by screams, scaring the children who were with us. Three parents tried to calm her down, but the recreation center employee wouldn't stop yelling. We don't know if she has discrimination problems, but people like that shouldn't work in a place where children are cared for, mainly. She lacks empathy and consideration. How bad. We've been there multiple times, and this was the worst. And it was our daughter's birthday.
I received my second deep Treatment massage from Leyla on the 6th Floor at The Brixton Recreation Centre recently, and I cannot recommend her enough.nJust the right amount of pressure applied to ease sore and tight muscles, as well as a lovely bed side manner. I feel lighter and better and I will be back for more!nThe centre also has a fully refurbished gym which I use and the wellness suite is conveniently located above it. Well done to all who make the rec an important part of Brixton and its community.
