After a long haul flight from Australia we were tired and a bit apprehensive about a hotel I had found on line! We had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days there. We had a queen accessible room it was a good size with a great bathroom. Everything was spotless. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location great and the breakfast sensational! We felt thoroughly at home. It was like being with famiky!
Had a great stay at this hotel. The biggest plus was definitely the location - a tube station right next to the hotel, as well as a coach and a train station and a short walk from Buckingham Palace. The room was quite small, with a bed and a toilet/shower area all in one space, but it worked out quite nicely and was just enough for us. The toilet area is well separated from the rest of the other area. The room also came with complimentary coffee/cocoa/tea. There was also breakfast served for an additional fee. The staff was very friendly and professional.
Rooms are clean and functional. Perfect if solo or couple travelling. Although the foot of the bed is adjacent to the shower screen so if your tall like me, your feet will be touching unless you sleep diagonally across the bed. Other than that really nice, great location and staff are friendly.Rooms: 4/5
Such a lovely hotel right next to the train station. The staff were all incredible and very accommodating. Employees went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast and drinks were all amazing! Highly recommend staying here if you are in Victoria area - just be aware the rooms are a bit small only one bed per room - perfect for single travelers or a couple.
This hotel is disgusting. The air conditioner in the room is infested with mold, I woke up with a chest ache after breathing moldy air all night. The rest of my stay I preferred to sweat. The shower has mold buildup in corners, and on the ceiling. The mattress is about 3 inches thick and totally flat on one side. The pillows are feather pillows and stained yellow. The water they provide in the room has to be undrinkable tap water, as the bottles stink of mold haven’t been washed brown buildup around the bottle lid, and water smells and tasted foul. The shower water stinks and is just as foul as the bottled water. I could not wait for my stay to be over, please choose another hotel, as this one you should be PAID to stay here. Absolutely disgusting. Rooms: Dirty. The size of a closet. Stagnant. You hear water running from surrounding rooms and underground trains shake your room throughout the night every few minutes. Nearby activities: Immediate area is dirty, trash everywhere, road work every block.
The hotel is very well located next to Victoria Station. It’s compact and minimalistic, with some lovely staff. The room was nice and had everything you could need. However, the shower was slightly dirty, which I believe was due to poor ventilation in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was decent, though the grout could use some attention. Unfortunately, the TV in my room wasn’t working as the signal wasn’t coming through. I reported it to reception, and while they reset the room, it didn’t resolve the issue. Thankfully, when I returned from work, the TV had been fixed, which was appreciated. I was offered a complimentary breakfast for the trouble, but when I went down, the dining area was packed, so I couldn’t take advantage of it. The aircon unit made random noises during the night after being switched off, which was a bit disruptive. On the plus side, the mattress was firm, which I liked, and the wifi worked well throughout my stay. Overall, it was a good two-night stay, but considering the price compared to other hotels, I would likely stay elsewhere in the future. Rooms: The room was nice, well equipped and functional. Small, but for a business trip it wasn’t bad at all. The mattress is firm but comfortable.
The hotel is clean and has an excellent location, but it's very narrow, and the rooms lack windows. The price is higher than the value offered. There are definitely better options nearby.
Had a well needed rest at Z hotel following our day out at Notting hill carnival. The hotel was situated next to victoria station which was really convenient. The staff were very helpful and had us checked in quickly. The room was exactly what we needed for the night, bed, shower and toilet, along with tea and coffee supplies. The room as with the hotel entrance appeared to have a modern feel to it, and overall was very good value for money. My only slight criticism was, our room was situated in the basement and the sound of the underground trains did keep me awake. For light sleepers, I would recommend avoiding the basement if possible. Other than that, we had a great stay, would definitely stay again and recommend it. Based upon our room and encounter, this hotel is ideal for a short stay and is excellent value for money. We didn't have breakfast as we had to leave at 0430 to return home. Rooms: Modern feel, simple yet everything you needed for an overnight stay.
Great location, staff friendly and helpful . The room was small, and the bathroom was too close for comfort if you knew what I mean. Also, the mattress was very uncomfortable but slept okay as I was knackered from all the sightseeing.Rooms: 3/5
Arrived at this hotel after a 20 hour flight and went straight to the room 507. Tried to turn the lights on and nothing worked. Informed the hotel staff who went to hotel electrical box and reset the rooms fuse. Lights were on for about 20 minutes before they went out again. By this point I was so tired I just got into bed in the dark and slept. The next morning on the way out for the day I informed the manager the lights were out again and they said they’d fix it. Returns to the room that night and again no lights. Again a staff member resets the fuse to the room and the lights last about 30 minutes before they go out again. I end up rummaging around my room using the light on my phone to get showered and into bed. After repeated complaints to the manager I get told it must be something I’m charging in the room tripping the fuse. The only item I had was an iPhone plus it was only the lights going out, all other electrical items in the room worked even the plug that was used for my phone. On top of no lights there is also a loud noise from the room air conditioner about every 60 seconds that does a good job of keeping you awake. The rooms themselves are small but hey its central London what do you expect. The combination of no lights and also getting the blame for them not working means I’d never stay in a Z hotel ever again. All the staff had to do was move me to another room and I would have given a much better review. My advice is avoid this hotel chain due to poor customer service.
