I choose ZHotels and especially City branch because it is great for a overnight stay when I have to work late and need a clean, comfortable place to sleep. The staff are always very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and functional. I consciously choose rooms without windows because i need a quiet place to rest. I would absolutely recommend for short business trips. Also you get a 10% off with a membership. Breakfasts are also very nice and affordable.
As a solo traveller, I cannot imagine a better place to stay. I had initially selected a room with no window, but I was lucky to get an upgrade to a family room thank you!. The room is compact, but very well designed, so it doesn't feel cramped. I can imagine that with 3 more people's luggage in the room, it could get tight, but I still urge everyone to consider this hotel if they are on a budget. Location is amazing, the windows let in the light and the view of the beautiful fleet street. It's very quiet, very clean, the sheets are soft and smell amazing and the towels are the fluffiest I've had. The shower is hot and has great pressure, and they provide shampoo, shower gel and soap. The service was lovely and the reception works 24h, which is a huge plus. Tha k you for everything!
I have stayed in the Z Hotel before so I knew what to expect. If you want a spacious room with a guaranteed window with a view, this is not the hotel for you. If you want a clean, we'll presented room with enough space to put your clothes away, lay your head down and have a cuppa, book here. 2 stars is a little mean, definitely needs another one. Our room had an impeccable view and free cheese and wine on the Saturday night too. When leaving the hotel turn left for the closest metro, turn right for the closest train and the spectacular St. Pauls is on your doorstep. Staff were 5 stars and literally could not have done enough for us! We will most definitely be back!
Not being from London or UK, wasn’t sure what to expect. Very convenient location off the tube and for the Strand area. Anything you need is nearby. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Rooms are quite small but modern design that maximizes functionality. Very nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. Food options were somewhat limited and pricey but convenient. Very clean rooms with a nice touch of extras coffee, tea, toiletries. The air con is my room was having trouble and they volunteered to move me to a new room, much appreciated since it was the hottest day of the year. I would say the lighting in the sink area needs improved. Also wouldn’t necessarily suggest upgrading to a room with a “view” as both of my rooms essentially had a view of the neighboring building’s walls. Overall would recommend for a single person needing to stay in the area for a night or two. Nearby activities: I was there for a hearing at the courts, very easy 5 minute walk down fleet st. Walkability: Easily accessed from the tube and within walking distance of anything you need- restaurants, shops, activities. Food & drinks: Food and drinks were a bit pricey and “ok”. Somewhat expected for a hotel.
Solid hotel, especially at this price point. Rooms are small but they're modern, clean and come with everything you'd need for a short stay. I've already booked a follow up stay for the next time I'm in the area. Staff were also attentive and friendly. Would recommend.Rooms: 4/5
The hotel is very nice. Has a lift in case you want to avoid the stairs for higher levels. The rooms are cozy, a bit small, but has all you need. Toiletries are provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels too. You also have a kettle with different options for hot drinks, cold water and glasses provided. Hangers next to the door and TV where you can watch news, sports, etc. The bed is comfortable, although I found the pillows to small. You can also change the temperature in the room manually, which is a nice feature. My only problem was that the glass doors of the toilets are a bit see through, so not ideal if you are traveling with a friend or someone you don't want to see too much of their privacy. Also, we were not looking for it but casually found the hair dryer underneath the desk provided. Perhaps it would be better to have it written down somewhere so if anyone needs it they know where it is as I thought it was left a bit hidden. Staff were very nice. Food was lovely, breakfast options could be broader, but the pizza we had was delicious! I would recommend
We stayed here for one night while visiting London for a gig. We arrived earlier than check-in so the staff very kindly let us leave our bags in the luggage room and informed us that we had been given a free upgrade to a bigger room! When we returned later on in the evening, staff let us know that they had taken our bags up to our room ready for us to check-in. Room was absolutely spotless with lots of tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water if you needed anything else their on-site cafe is open 24/7 and the bed was very comfortable! Great location for central London, only a few tube stops away. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
I'm torn over my stay. The location is perfect in central London, short walk to the Thames, St Paul's, The Strand, Trafalgar Sq. It feels like a new hotel and has a new modern feel as soon as you walk in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The little bar that also serves a select menu is lovely. Unfortunately my room had a leak from the window due to heavy rain, which resulted in the bed being wet. Staff were great and moved me straight away. My only criticism is the beds are rock hard, resulting in me having a bad back for 2 days. Also 10 minutes after leaving hotel I became itchy on my calf and back, on inspection I found 3 bites that I didn't have the evening before. If the mattresses where softer I would stay again, but as it stands sadly I would not return. Rooms: Very compact but meets your needs. Nearby activities: St Paul's Cathedral Royal courts of justice Hatton garden London blackfriars Fleet street Trafalgar sq Millennium bridge Southbank
Nice, clean hotel and a good price but the rooms are even smaller than they look in the pictures. There is room for one person to stand with luggage in the room; the others either need to be in the restroom or bed. We had fun and the kids enjoyed it but even the "family sized" room is ok for a night but I wouldn't stay longer. Walkability: Location is awesome, easy walk to lots in the area. Even at 11pm plenty of families are out and about.
This is a good hotel for the level expected. Rooms are functional and though designed small, doesn’t feel like it. The breakfast is good and they do a pretty good coffee unexpected for London!. Join their program and receive a discount plus cheese and wine each night.
