I had walked past the Waldorf Hilton on the Aldwych for many years before finally staying there for a birthday celebration. The hotel exudes old-world charm, and the rooms are nice and spacious. The service is good, and while the food is typical Hilton fare, it’s no problem given the abundance of dining options in central London. The location is excellent, and the staff are wonderful. Overall, it was a delightful stay.
Hands down, one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. They made our anniversary special. The Executive lounge was totally worth it. Ruth, who checked us in, was amazing. House keeping was extraordinary. Can not say enough wonderful accolades about this establishment. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!Rooms: 5/5
I was served by Arif at the Homage Restaurant such a kind gentleman. He was absolutely brilliant and l had the best birthday dinner ever. All the staff were incredibly kind and professional at The Waldorf Hotel. They all deserve a raise. Great job guys!Service: 5/5
We had a brilliant stay at The Waldorf. I am a Hilton member but found this hotel exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The location is fabulous, very close to covent garden and many theatres plus close to Temple Street underground. Breakfast was out of this world, hot and cold buffet options but you can pick from a menu and have something nice delivered freshly cooked to the table. We enjoyed a cocktail or two at the bars too which are great for people watching and also lovely service. . We stayed in room 430 and it was very quiet. The room could have a few additional features - better coffee only instant, smart TV perhaps as we struggled to connect our subscriptions but otherwise it was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again and would recommend. Walkability: very central
I recently stayed at The Waldorf Hilton for a conference, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The hotel feels stuck in time—desperately in need of an update to meet modern standards. While the exterior and lobby might hint at grandeur, the rooms and facilities tell a different story. The furnishings are outdated, the decor feels tired, and the overall ambiance lacks the elegance one might expect from a Hilton-branded property. The carpets, lighting, and fixtures are worn out, making the stay feel more like visiting a relic of the past than enjoying a luxurious experience. For the price and the reputation of this hotel, I expected so much more. It’s clear that the management has neglected to invest in upgrades. If you’re here for a conference or a business trip, be prepared for a lackluster experience that might leave you regretting your choice. I won’t be returning anytime soon and wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless serious improvements are made. Walkability: The location in Covent Garden is a plus
A fabulous hotel for theatre land and Covent Garden. Great recognition for Hilton members, With Gold status I booked a twin and was allocated a family room so we had. A double bed each - and it was incredibly comfortable. In the morning the breakfast was above and beyond my expectations. The status benefit is complimentary continental breakfast and the hotel provided an extensive hot and cold buffet with several cook to order options. Everyone we spoke to from the doorman to reception and the servers at breakfast were happy and friendly. A brilliant stay, we will be back.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of major attractions and close to the tube. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, providing excellent service at both the front desk and concierge. Be sure to visit the Wild Monkey Bar for some incredible cocktails! Overall, it’s an ideal spot for first-time visitors to London. Highly recommended and definitely worth a return visit!
It was a great location to walk around. It is very close to most of the attractions, including selection of various theaters, bus stops, and food markets. The staffs were very friendly and helpful from the time we stepped in to the front door, reception/concierge, and the executive lounge. Our favorite staff were Jay front desk and Karen/Andy/Jennifer exec lounge. We had the king executive room and was roomy for 2 person, clean and sufficient for what we needed. Gym was enormous for a hotel standard, not as busy and was able to claim a good portion of the space for circuit exercise. Executive lounge is open all day, serving breakfast in the morning, tea/cake time in the afternoon we missed it since we’re out and about, and happy hour with canapés at night which we took advantage 2/3 of our stay. Overall, it was a great location and experience for someone first time in London. Highly recommended hotel and definitely worth coming back for.
Can I mention young Kyle in the bar,,such wonderful people skills, taking time to speak to older customers, even gave us a tour of the ballroom and gave us its history. We've both enjoyed our stay so much, look forward to visiting again. Rooms: So comfortable Nearby activities: Loved the nearness of Covent garden and theatres
Unsure on rooms as didn't stay there, however the rest of the decor, staff and bar areas were immaculate! We attended here for the Be our guest afternoon tea and I cannot recommend this experience to anyone else enough! It was magical, beautiful and the flavours exploded from every dish! We had Olga as a server and her knowledge, demeanor and lovely nature made the whole experience a time to remember. The decor is fantastic, the harpist Cindy was incredibly talented and I would definitely recommend coming here to any Disney fan. Food wise, the Red pepper soup was the best soup I've eaten anywhere and all my family members agreed, the sandwiches were lovely however I'm not a fish fan, so I kind of wish I had requested that to be swapped out. The dessert is the stand out! With Chip's suprise and the accompanied food, it was outstanding! It was my girlfriends 30th birthday and Olga brought out a cake and sang for her, it was lovely! My only recommendation is between the harpists breaks, it maybe nice to get some Disney music or acoustic Disney music in the background because the jazzy style doesn't fit the rest of the experience. Highly recommend and couldn't thank you enough!
