The staff, receptionist at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - first impressions of hotel. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast next morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions. Mr Doorman always cheerful - that makes everyone happy. Thank you. Highly recommended. Rooms: Every detail of the room is immaculate- not even a cosmetic error. Bathroom and room cleanliness just spotless - first of a kind since i have stayed in so many hotels. Kudos to the housekeeping staffs. Nearby activities: Too many to list. We went to watch Lion King just 3 mins walking distance. Safety: All health and safety details were prominently displayed including fire. Walkability: Literally took us 5 mins from Charing Cross Food & drinks: Breakfast was mouthwatering - too many choices. Noteworthy details: Outstanding care and hospitality from receptionist, staffs and cheerful Mr Doorman - thank you all
Superb location for everything that's best about London! My room was spotless, as we're all the public areas. The Gin bar is a great place to while away a couple of hours with a book and a cocktail - the chicken skewers ate delicious! I just wish it had been open on Sunday too! The waiting staff in here were delightful and I felt very comfortable on my own. Bonus - the bath towel was a proper big sheet! Lovely. Every member of staff I spoke to was so helpful and approachable. A very special place.
If you are planning to stay in London for business or pleasure you should definitely consider the Strand palace. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are great and the staff goes over and above for all your needs. It's a perfect location to get around the sites and areas of London. Everything was just perfect. We started our day with a delicious and quite filing breakfast and ended our day in a comfortable and well supplied guest room. Everything was great and we will definitely stay there again
The hotel's reception is aesthetically pleasing, but the rooms and beds are unacceptably small—better suited for children than adults—and far from comfortable. When I raised this concern at reception, the staff showed little interest in addressing the issue, instead offering an 'upgrade' to a standard bed for an additional €110 on top of the €400 I was already paying per night. The breakfast was disappointing, with fried eggs resembling plastic in both texture and taste. Considering the high price, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. There are many hotels in London offering much better value for money. Despite its grand name, this 'palace' fails to deliver on even basic comfort or quality. I would strongly advise caution when booking here
My room was small and cosy but enough as I was only staying the one night. Even though the Hotel is old, the room was very modern and comfortable. It had everything I needed. This is the perfect location to be within walking distance of anywhere in the West End. Great value for moneyRooms: 4/5
Location is definitely the greatest plus from this hotel. A couple minutes away from Convent Garden and within walking distance to the Big Ben and Trafalgar Square and other hot spots in London. If you want to explore London this is a great option. I choose the cheapest room and for one person only. The room was indeed small with a single bed, but the price was around £150 per night. I struggle to decide if it is worth the price. On one hand the location was very convenient, on the other hand, I felt I paid more for location that for the actual room. London is an expensive city, so this may be one of the most affordable options in a hotel with a room for 1 person and a great location. They did have a nice touch and a chocolate bar and a bottle of water as a welcome gift. Overall I'm between it's okay 3 stars and I liked it 4 starts. I would actually give it 3.5 stars.
Beautiful hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff. Great location and close to the underground. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was a little noisy though. Could hear talking in the next room and our neighbour seemed to have an issue with their front door every morning. Thought it strange that our room had no refrigerator.
It's such a pretty hotel. One of the best options in the area for being clean, classy and not overpriced. The bed was not very comfortable for my specific taste, it was a bit firm but some may like that. The pillows were high quality, included organic tea and a water boiler in the room, very nice bathroom and the staff at the front desk was friendly!
We had a lovely stay while visiting London. The location was good; close to Underground stops and in walking distance to pretty much everything. Our room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was busy but not overwhelming. I would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Very friendly hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent position for exploring London. Covent Garden just around the corner. Trafalgar Square 5 mins walk. Lots of theatres within walking distance. Lovely breakfast with wide choice. Highly recommend. Walkability: Close to theatres, authentic pubs, Covent Garden round the corner with market stalls, restaurants and shops. Close to underground stations, Covent Garden and Leicester Square. Short walk to Trafalgar Square
