I have been to this Vue Cinema twice now to see different films and it's been a pleasure. They have one of the best popcorn I have ever tasted and as usual, I take it with the cherry slush and it is lovely.
It's an ok cinema, but I think effort could be spent improving the general appearance of the interior. Unfortunately I had noticed damage to the walls outside the toilets. However the screens themselves were decent enough although the ceiling lights used were not dimmed enough when watching Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It was sometimes difficult to make out certain characters on screen during certain scenes due to the brightness of the lights.
Large car park. Located in a retail park with Hollywood bowl, wagamama, McDonald's, pizza hut and askitalian. Easy booking system online if you want to book ahead.
A bog standard multiplex cinema. I ordered my tickets online but I'm not sure why I bothered as these were not scanned when entering the screen. I would not be surprised if a number of people had not purchased a ticket. The screen was not cleaned properly after the previous showing, there was popcorn all over the floor. Also, one of the seats I booked was damaged, the inner foam was sticking out. The screen itself was large and the images were sharp and of a high definition. However, I was disappointed with the sound, the volume was not high enough for the type of movie I saw. A decent cinema but nothing special.
Love it. Today we went with kids to watch sonic 2, for kids it was a first time experience - Cinema, they love it. Before I was worried as they were small, I didn't know how they will react to very loud noise and if they will be able to stay that long in their seat, my kids r 4 and 6, and they did behave well and had a great time, popcorn and after movie Ice cream.
The Vue are great, there prices there charging to view a movie are excellent, you cannot grumble! But what you save on tickets you can use to buy popcorn and other goodies as well as Ben & Jerry's Ice cream with pic and mix and drinks etc etc the staff have always been pleasant in my experience so keep up the good work
I’ve left a wonderful review around 7 months ago and it still stands; very clean and friendly cinema. The disabled toilet is always clean and equipped. But around 2 months ago people came to the screen and sit wherever they wanted which outraged me. As a disabled person to make sure that I can sit through a 2 hour movie I HAD to pay the extra for the upgraded seats. Meanwhile a whole family walked in almost in the middle of the movie, looked around where their seats were then saw the 4 empty seats in front of me and just decided to sit there. Haven’t been here since then. I know it is only a few bucks more, but this is about the PRINCIPAL.
After waiting years for Avatar to return to the screen we decided to go for 3D. We'll screen 6 just isn't set up for 3D and so many people are struggling with blur everything. Let after 5mins. Checked out screen 8 which was tons better. Back today to watch on screen 8. Will happily change the review if all is good.
Highly disappointing experience. Booked a film on Friday night. Arrived with my elderly inlaws who have mobility issues to find the escalator going up and the lift were both out of order. No staff member downstairs to assist or guide. When both elderly parents were half way up negotiating the double flight staircase did a staff member walk by saying they could have turned the lift on manually. How would a customer know this if it is not sign marked. No warning given at time of booking about access issues. The escalator and lift issue seems to be a frequent occurrence at this cinema. Will not be using more well operated cinemas. This one is shambolic and staff have no duty of care towards users of this cinema.
This is a great cinema with a great seat price. I like the idea of 'mini mornings'. The cinema has a wide range of selection and is near to other shops. The screens are big and the sound is loud. The only setback to the price of the snacks in the cinema. Tip: buy your snacks somewhere else as it will be a lot cheaper.
