Love the new Epic screen! It has a HDR Barco projector and Dolby Atmos surround sound! This is my new favourite screen to watch all the latest blockbusters. Go epic!
I’m really disappointed with my recent visit to Vue in Angel. The screen was absolutely filthy, sticky floors, popcorn everywhere, and it was very obvious it hadn’t been cleaned properly before we went in.nnTo make matters worse, my friend and I saw a mouse in the screen. We immediately felt uncomfortable and couldn’t relax or enjoy the film we’d paid to see.nnBefore the film started, I mentioned the state of the screen to a member of staff. She came in, looked around, and then left without doing anything. No cleaning, no follow-up, no reassurance.nnFor the price of tickets and the reputable name of Vue, I would expect a clean, hygienic environment and a much better standard of customer service. Unfortunately, this visit fell far below that expectation and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable trip.
The overall facilities are perfect, as far as I’m aware all the seats are reclining and suuper comfortable. The recent screening experience has been completely upgraded.nnHowever the biggest consistent let down has been the ladies toilets. Every single time I have been there the sanitary bin was overflowing. The experience of going to the cinema is completely ruined when you cannot manage your periods hygienically and with dignity.
Been a few times now and the screens are always quite decently clean, good seats, temperature is ok but a little on the colder side.nnHowever, the staff need some serious training in customer service. We were made to feel like idiots for ordering snacks and a hot drink this evening by a tall guy behind the counter who was also ordering his coworkers around like they were dirt. We wanted to order popcorn with m&ms on top but he huffed and put our order through too quickly and when I said “oh we asked for m&ms too” he quite sternly said “too late” when it was his mistake and shoved the drinks to us and walked off.nnWhen I asked a colleague that checked the tickets if this is normal we got a “yeah he does have a temper, he mumbles a lot about people too, he’s just like that”.nnNo idea where the manager that’s on shift tonight is but they need to really review which staff they put customer facing because this guy certainly shouldn’t be.nnThe staff really need better customer service training, this isn’t the first review I’ve read on here that’s saying the same thing. Not sure how many more reviews it’ll take before anything gets actioned. Disappointing.
Every occasional visit here has been an awful experience. The staff are rude or just don’t care, food is way over priced and I’ve seen mice run around the screens before the movie has even started!nI’ve had people talking through an entire film and when I’ve told a staff member they told ME to move it was a full screen…move where?! and not do anything about the people who were talking, the staff are not helpful when trying to figure out how to use vouchers - which I had to pay extra on top of what I paid for the voucher but no explanation why.nI’ve purchased ice blasts and the drinks have been pure liquid to then be told ‘the machine hasn’t mixed yet’ and not offered an alternative! Just far too expensive for such a bad experience every time.nThere’s also a very rude staff member whose name tag said ‘James’ or ‘Jamie’, his attitude stinks! He called me stupid and an idiot for not knowing something, he was quite aggressive with the person in front of me. If you hate your job that much why work there?nAVOID this place, there is far better cinemas in the area to go and watch a movie
