Vue

The Vue is a great cinema just a couple of minutes from Angel. The seats are comfortable and the screens are top quality. On my last visit the staff were the only issue, they quite clearly didn't want to be at work and they were slow and rude. Always massively off putting to me. My preference is nice private cinema (like The Screen on the Green further up the road) but the Vue is pretty great if you can put up with the staff.

On the hottest day of the year no tango ice blasts! Outrageous! All he said was it's not working. No soft drinks either other than coke! So in was forced to buy water. Film starts in 2 minutes and the room isn't ready. We're all sitting on the windowsill waiting.

3 stars normally but since the Monday deal 5. The tickets are great on a Monday at £5. Ever since they brought out this deal it is the only night of the week I go and you always manage great seats as it is obviously a slow night. I have gone to dozens of movies since this deal came out and was always annoyed before at the price but now really enjoy the place. The extreme price is not justified and all regular price seats are fine so no need to spring for the vip. Only one cinema is small (bottom of the stairs with a code?) but even it is enjoyable.

Cinema is very easy to get to (stone's throw from Angel underground station) and has always been clean and well staffed when we've gone. As mentioned previously by others, the food is overpriced (£6.50 for a regular popcorn), but service is generally quick. Cinema also accepts Vitality vouchers, which is a plus.

Great cinema in Islington. Expensive and food is over priced like all cinemas, but the screens and sound is great.
