I’m writing this in the hope that someone will find it helpful and that it may reach someone in a position to make meaningful changes, as unfortunately, my previous concerns seem to have gone unnoticed with customer service reps, or managers on the floor.nnMy feedback isn’t based on a single unfortunate incident, but rather on a series of three disappointing experiences, none was even tried to be resolved, though I’ll focus on the most recent one, which ultimately led me to decide that it was my final visit to this cinema.nnLast Friday, upon entering the screening room, we were immediately overwhelmed by an unpleasant odor, a stifling mix of stale air and lingering food smells, reminiscent of a hot summer day with no ventilation. The air conditioning was not functioning. Still, we took our seats, hoping it might be turned on once the film started. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, I was silly & innocent to believe this would be the case.nnThe room was nearly full, Friday the temperature was 32 degrees, and the lack of airflow made the environment genuinely unbearable. We had to leave shortly after the film began. It was suffocating, and frankly, allowing customers to sit in those conditions, borders on unacceptable. At that point, it didn’t just feel like poor management, lack of communication or anything like this, it felt cruel.nnThey are just greedy and don't care! Of course they didn't mentioned it unless it was questioned, when questioned everyone was raising shoulders, can't do anything ....why not allow the customers to come on a different date, allow them to visit another cinema, give them some silly credit, a discount on a next visit, a complimentary cold drink ... anythingnnIt’s disheartening that such basic standards of comfort and care aren’t being upheld.nnI share this not out of frustration alone, but in the hope that these issues will finally be taken seriously and addressed for the sake of future customers.
As Vue goes, pretty good! The recliner seats with a table are lovely. Not sure I would pay the asking price for it but always use my monthly free ticket here
The Vue cinema in Angel is awesome. Clean all around, comfy seating which is fantastic to sit on after a long hard week at work. You can put your feet up and relax. Even the people who go there are respectful & quiet. The only negative things I can say is that the popcorn isn't fresh & the food & drinks are crazy expensive. Daylight robbery, but a good venue.
Years ago I had a terrible experience here during a Planet of the Apes screening — I actually swore I’d never come back. But recently I decided to give it another chance and I’m glad I did!nnThe place has been completely transformed — refurbished screens, super comfy seats, amazing sound and crystal clear projection. It honestly feels like a whole new cinema. This is currently my go-to spot for big blockbusters.nnJust wish Vue put the same care and investment into their other locations — Wood Green, for example, is in total decline and hard to enjoy these days. But credit where it’s due — Vue Islington, you’ve won me back!
I like visiting the cinema and the screenings themselves are great. But today at 18:37pm, the woman who checks the tickets wouldn't let us go through because she said the room wasn't ready. She told us she would let us know when it's ready, so we waited. The film started at 18:40 and by 18:45 we were still waiting. She'd obviously forgotten about us so we walked in to our screening and lots of people were already sat there. So poor.nnPlease train your staff better - that was bad customer service.
