Lexi Cinema

A small but worthy cinema. Mostly run by volunteers, 100% of the profits go to a sustainablility charity in South Africa. Tickets are cheaper than the average multiplex but knowing that your money goes towards building better lives is a enough of a reason to come back weekly. The staff are great and they have a great bar too.

Love this little cinema. Atmosphere inside is great and there's a bar so you can have a couple of drinks (or a bottle of wine!) while watching a film. I much prefer this cinema to large, impersonal chains. The staff are lovely and the tickets are very reasonably priced.

My first visit to Lexi blew me away! It is everything the big cinemas are not: friendly, interested and warm. Find time for a drink at the bar before or after the film, you'll get an insight into what makes the volunteers tick.

Finally went to this cinema which has a lovely community feel. Only 75 seats. Not all comfortable! They show current movies and telecasts of Opera and The National Theatre. Become a member and save money. All proceeds go to charity.

It's such a family orientated place to relax and watch a movie. Knowing they support a much needed charity makes it all the more worthwhile.
