One of the best hotels we ever stayed at! My husband and I visited London for the first time to celebrate 1 year wedding anniversary. The location is perfect! The service was friendly & superb. We had our luggage brought to room and while we waited for our room to be ready we had snack and drink at roof top bar - which was amazing 5/5! Our room was modern, clean, stylish, and safe. I loved the mirrors around and the mini fridge with complementary water and soda - which definitely came handy for us. Even though they were under construction while we visited and the view we got from our room was another building under construction - it didn’t take away from our 5 star experience. Staying at this hotel completed our wonderful experience in London.
This hotel has exceeded our expectations. They have treated my 3 year old like royalty and have been incredibly accommodating. From Tony the doorman to the staff in the restaurant we’ve both loved every minute of it. The breakfast is fantastic, and the rooftop bar/restaurant has great views out over the city. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are fresh and new. I didn’t hear any construction noise and the location is extremely central to anything you’d want to see.
Staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Amazing views from the rooftop bar/restaurant. I booked this hotel incredibly last min after my original hotel had an error with my reservation. They were able to accommodate me last minute and I have been very impressed with the staff and amenities.Rooms: 5/5
Great location. Would definitely stay here again. The shower sucked, but that was the only downside. They could have eliminated the tub and made more room in the shower and also put in a normal shower head instead of the goofy rain shower, but out of our entire stay, that was the only negative. The location is perfect with lots within walking distance and the Admiralty Pub right across the street to end your night in. The lobby bar area was under renovation while we were there, but it looked like it will be nice when finished. Rooms: Very nice, very roomy. Only comment is about the shower, which I mentioned earlier in the review. Nearby activities: We easily walked to Westminster Abby, Buckingham Palace and Picadilly. Walkability: Perfect location. Food & drinks: Nothing to write home about, but the Admiralty Pub was right across the street.
NB. You can very easily save a life, if you simply ask every customer who orders food whether they have any allergies. Our time with you end of August had the potential to be the best overnight stay in a hotel for us, but sadly the experience was ruined before it had really begun. I was hoping to celebrate my significant birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary. The rooftop bar and the view it offered was marvellous. Very sadly when we decided to order some food, we were not asked whether we had any allergies. I was too focused on taking photos and soaking up the atmosphere, so my husband picked and ordered the food. I'm severely allergic to cashew nuts and peanuts. One of the dishes contained cashew which I consumed. Subsequently I was very poorly and in agony all night. Our evening plans were completely ruined. The hotel didn't charge for the food and brought cake up to the room which I was too poorly to eat. Thankfully I was able to have breakfast the next morning and the staff took good care of me, thank you. We asked if we could have the overnight stay refunded or rebooked to make up for the experience but our request was refused. My husband continues to be a loyal weekly customer of Hilton hotels. Rooms: We stayed in Barry suite. It was almost perfect. Some of the bathroom features didn't seem to be working but putting this aside the suite was spacious and offered everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The building is beautiful and the location is wonderful for London. We enjoyed just walking out and exploring or hop on a tube to another part of the city was simple with Charing Cross Station across the square. The staff was wonderful: from doormen, bellmen, front desk agents, breakfast hosts and servers. They were great! Rooms are spacious and added a curio touch with great decor. The Rooftop was a great place for drinks and nibbles. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Bonus: they have unlimited mimosas bar at breakfast
I want to give a big shout out to Toby. From the time I walked in, he was very nice and accommodating, and made me feel welcomed. Tony was another person who was awesome to meet and very helpful during our stay at the hotel. Aside from the great staff, the rooms are large and the location is great. But there are a few cons… First, the construction in the building. You can hear the drilling pretty well on the first floor. Second, some of the items in the room were worn. Overall, I’d stay here again.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to provide outstanding service. Tony, the doorman, was especially helpful and friendly. Although the first room we received had an unpleasant odor, the team immediately apologized and promptly moved us to a different room with no hesitation. While part of the hotel was under construction, which did affect the overall experience, it wasn't a major issue. Overall it was a nice stay but I don't think this property is a 5 star luxury hotel. Location is the BEST! we walked everywhere from here, and we were able to easily catch a cab if needed. The staff was great, very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The only thing when we arrived after a long flight and we were a bit out of it.The one manager did a hard push on trying to make us upgrade our room for additional cost which I thought was very unprofessional and left sour taste in my mouth. Other then that everything else was great, our room was lovely and staying there almost 2 weeks we had lots of closet space to spread out clothes. Next trip to London I will stay here again, but tell the manger to stick it if he doesn't his hard sale on me to upgrade my room. LOL Nearby activities: blocked from the theaters , hundreds of restaurants , sight seeing shopping , all walking Walkability: Best location if you like to walk to everything
Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price Do not be deceived by the exterior images you see here. When I spoke to the hotel staff by phone, they informed me that the renovation was limited to the lobby area. This was very misleading, as extensive work is also being done in the surrounding buildings and areas. Additionally, the lobby is literally reduced to five seats. According to the doorman, the building next door has been under construction for over two years, with no known end in sight. The hammering and drilling begin daily just after 9 a.m., forcing you to leave your room if you want peace. I would upload the drilling and hammering here if I could share my audio files. As for the hotel facilities, two of the three elevators were out of service during some days of our stay, leaving only one elevator that took an unreasonably long time to arrive. When I tried to reach the reception or room service by phone, no one would answer. A few members of the front desk staff needed to be more cooperative, even with a guest holding the highest Hilton loyalty status. While our stay had some positive aspects, such as the room quality and cleanliness, this hotel does not represent the Curio Collection brand, and certainly not at the price we paid for a hotel under such extensive construction. I think you should look elsewhere if you value a smooth, restful experience.
