So you need to know what you are buying here for this price point. The location is exceptional, truly. Service at the front desk is also of the highest quality. Soaps and shampoos fantastic as are the towels. However, rooms are dated, small for the price point, creaky floor boards, a constant noise of either heating or air conditioning, bathroom is very dated. No mini bar but water available in the corridor, beds a bit too small for two, no shower cap or cotton buds minimal cost for a few small details would make a difference. Finally we had lunch in the restaurant. It was not good at all. Service was poor, steak was miniature, no idea what had happened to the Cumberland sausage, bathroom requires a key for the elevator and overall doesn't function well. Overall its a three. Not bad but price point is based on the location not the quality.
Overall a good hotel. However, I noticed the cups in our room were extremely dusty, like someone hasn’t touched them in a long time. Even if they aren’t dirty housekeeping should switch out the cups or at least clean them before new guests arrive. And although I knew this before arriving and was told at check in, the rooms being cleaned every other day is very odd. We are paying for a service however we are not receiving it in full. I have not experienced this at any other hotel.
Excellent hotel on a great location with comfy beds! Bathroom needs a refurbishment. Restaurant is ok. For a quick bite a marvellous pizzeria is next door. Bit of issues with checking in and breakfast wasnt included according to staff... according to booking it was, strange. All-in-all hotel doesnt feel luxurious for this price range, however location is unbeatable for a weekend stay. Walkability: Great location. Dead center Food & drinks: Can recommend the lamb
Brilliant location, next to Trafalgar Square. Grand lobby, amazing lobby and atmosphere. Nice clean rooms. We even had my own coffee machine and microwave in the room. Extremely helpful and professional staff. The lounge was a nice place to have a few drinks and get some great complementary hot drinks. Check out was at noon, the hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage until needed to travel back. Highly recommended.
I would like to tell everyone how wonderful this hotel was. Starting with the desk staff A plus ! Warm, Friendly pierced lol! Our room was tidy and they would take care of Anu thing you needed. The club room was a great place to begin or end your day, I wish I could take the coffee machine with me. Mostly the location is within 10 minutes to so many locations! We walked more than a Disney trip. Thanks Grand Trafalgar!!
A basic 3 out of 5. Good hotel in a very good location. Staff helpful, especially Cameron at reception. Hotel is old though and the rooms are basic. Worst thing - house keeping cleaning is half assed, done alternate days climate is an inane excuse— we clean our place every day!, and sometimes the staff “forget” to change the sheets. Nice place but won’t stay again.
This hotel is definitely in a great location! It’s a 15 minute walk to buckingham palace, Big Ben, Covent garden, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford street. Also for the price you cannot beat it! The staff here are also extremely friendly and accommodating! Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but they did their hardest to flip a room clean for us since we were so jet lagged. The rooms themselves are nice and modern. The only thing outdated was the bathroom. The shower is old and tiny. We also could not find a safe in the room and for that reason we bypassed room service. Other than that it was a great hotel and stay!
The best thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms are small if you are trying to fit more then 3 people and luggage. It will be tight. One of the rooms we had had a bad odor, almost mildew like, and no one seemed to help fix that for us or offer another room. The location is the only benefit in staying here. Breakfast isn’t good either, plan to go elsewhere if you want breakfast. The staff isn’t very helpful. There are better hotels to book.
Hi I'm writing this review because I had one of the best experiences from this place, Such an amazing hotel, has everything you need close to amenities. And the hotel staff are very helpful, if I knew how good this place was I would have gone there years ago, I have waste my time with other hotels, this one ticks all the boxes and I am super happy with the service. Don't waste your time with other hotels this one is the best I have had, I don't normally write reviews but this one definitely deserves it. Many thanks⁹
The best location! There is even a special entrance to the 50 Kalo restaurante must go. There is a comunal area where we can fill our bottle with water and drink coffee from a machine good coffee though. However, the rooms for the price are basic and expected more for the price. Specially the bathroom Nearby activities: You are a walk distance to everything that ia good in London in my opinion
