I had an appointment with Helen today and cannot thank her enough for looking after me. She gave me an abundance of advise and information, thoroughly looked after me and made me feel at ease the whole time. As long as you are on the online forum at 8.30am, you can choose an appointment slot for the next day. Thanks so much I had a very pleasant visit!
Had an appointment for treatment with Helen, unusual thing to say for a sexual health appointment but she made enjoyable and put me at ease very quickly. All the staff i've met at the Hathersage have been brilliant and she's another absolute asset to the service.
Nurse Fiona and the lady at the reception were very nice, especially Fiona, who kept comforting me not to panic, and explained how to take my medication and how to use a swab. I know it was my fault for my sexual health accident, but they were really patient and kind all the time. I am truly grateful to them!
Brilliant support for trans people. Nurse introduced herself with her pronouns and asked if we were comfortable giving ours. Consultant was more knowledgeable than any previous medical person we've seen, and understood the predicament of being male and yet referred to gynae by GP. Now under her care for the foreseeable and able to go to the clinic in Urmston - thus avoiding Manchester's terrible traffic. A big relief.
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Avoid this place at all costs as they are absolutely woeful and really should be shut down. My wife completely tests and they said they would call back with the results. They never called back. She went into the clinic to ask for the results and they were rude and told her to wait. They then called a few days later and asked my wife how she was responding to the treatment. She was never given any treatment! Gave up in the end and had to pay to go private unfortunately.
Wonderful experience at Hathersage Clinic. From the receptionists to the doctors, everyone was incredibly caring and professional. They always made me feel comfortable and welcome. Couldn’t be happier with the service I received.
Receptionists are abrupt, nit picky and aint friendly over the phone. However the nursing staff are very nice in person. Long waits and always busy when visiting.
You cannot get in contact with them unless you go in. Some absolutely piss-poor management of phone systems - I was bounced between two systems that would redirect me to each other when I tried calling, once. I've also literally never managed to get through to them via phone after 9.30. I've been waiting a month for results, they seem to have just forgotten to get back to me, and this isn't the first time this has happened. Oh, and because the phones are never answered, I can't get through to ask about it. I've been on hold for half an hour now. I was asked to come in for an appointment at 1, once, then told that I couldn't be seen after waiting about an hour, then asked to come in 5.30 the same day. I understand that there are delays but over 3 hours of my time was wasted on something that should have taken 10 minutes. Just the most piss-poor management I've ever encountered.
Asanghi my nurse was very calm and really lovely to me and made me comfortable very quickly. I was seen after about 15 minutes of waiting and the procedure was quick.
Impossible to get an appointment, the web allocation system is impossible to use. Please wait forever until they tell you there are not appointments available. Very upsetting when you really need treatment. Very upset with the system
