Manchester children hospital provides excellent care with their helpful, polite and caring staff. My son has been there several times both as inpatient and outpatient. specially ward 78 was always well cared for and I am really thankful to the doctor and nurses.
I took my son to A&E with painful foot and he has x-rays done on foot and seen by Consultant within an hour and I am very satisfied by the Services thank you NHS . Thank you Gareth/all reception and admin staff and nurses .
Being in a hospital is never an ideal situation, but I've been here a couple of times now, and I must say they put in a lot of effort to ensure children feel less like they're in a hospital. The colourful decorations and numerous drawings everywhere create a less sombre atmosphere, making the experience a little brighter for everyone involved.
amazing hospital, as an autistic patient, they have made me feel happy and approach me in the correct manner. especially burns and plastics aftercare, if you read this, HI!! everyone has respect for one another, sadness isn’t alllowed into this building, everyone is courteous and always chipper! the camhs is also excellent coming from a patient of nearly 2 years, efficient service and kind staff. autism diagnosis took only a few months, which is exceptional knowing the lists. i’m going off my personal experience with rmch which as always been good. yummy cafes, i am going to be back on tuesday 14th may, cya there!! :D
My daughter attended here for cochlear implantation surgery. The first one got cancelled 5 minutes before she was due to go down. The staff were rude and thought it was acceptable to laugh about this. The second date we had went ahead! Completely different staff there that day and they were so different. Very polite and caring. The hospital itself was dirty and run down. At one point a nurse moved a bed to put my daughter where it was. Under that bed was wrappers and medicine syringes. The toilets were awful and the chairs… well I’ll add a photo of that so you can see for yourself!
My mother was in that hospital during her pregnancy, they treated her terribly. While there we heard nurses complaining about helping her and laughing about her pain, they make you wait for hours with no explanations and when you are seen they dismiss any concerns you have and tend to snap at you, if you try to call them for anything they put you on hold and then end the call on you, this hospital is useless in every way possible and I do not recommend going there, they treat their patients horribly and act like you are lower than they are, while my mum was giving birth they denied her of pain medication and kept shouting at her while she was in active labour. Don’t go here they are honestly the worst people I’ve ever met.
I always like the experience here. The children's hospital is so relaxing even for the adults who come here. This place is so neat and the staff, nurses and co are nice.
they looked after me for 12 years and every time i’ve been it’s always smiles and they are so welcoming it’s the best hospital i’ve ever been too and i have nothing bad to say about it. they made sure i was okay after my operation and i couldn’t thank them enough for all they do for me
The gross negligence and racist bias displayed in the malpractice treatment of Victoria Olabode is disgusting. A young girl is dead and the best the hospital can offer is 'oops'. Do not take your child here if you have any other option and if you must, advocate as firmly as possible for your child despite being denied by doctors. Systemic disbelief of patients of colour when it comes to pain and suffering is well documented. This hospital has failed to do no harm in that regard.
I know they are short staffed and we had a long wait but my son was comfortable there on his recent stay after hitting his face having seizures. He loved the food there and toast whenever you want. Its clean, and the shops are ok to get bits.
