Been trying to get an appointment with audiology now for two years I am partially deaf in both ears my aids needs servicing and I have not had a hearing test since I was diagnosed five plus years ago When you ring it goes straight to answer machine or just rings out I don't think that they really care
We are so lucky to have the NHS. I have had my daughter at the panda unit twice in the last 6 months, separate issues. The staff/nurses we met were lovely, very professional and knowledgeable. The triage nurse we met twice was so calming. The Nurse practitioner Kylie who treated my daughter recently was fantastic with her, and being confident in her role put me at ease! I just felt like I needed to acknowledge the Panda unit at A&E Salford Royal, and the great work they do.
First triage nurse in A&E was not very friendly. Short, with short blond highlighting hair. Doesn't know much about patient privacy, but more about using her phone. Overall good experience, friendly receptionists, Panda Unit triage nurse was amazing, and GP was knowledgable and there to listen. ++
Amazing staff that always is her to help. I usually arrive early and most of the time procedures get done earlier than scheduled as a result. Staff is very polite and makes sure that the clients are comfortable offering food and blankets along with any help. Honestly one of best hospitals I’ve been in.!
Queued for 30 minutes to park. Sent to wrong department, and when eventually getting to the correct department which takes me a long time because of walking difficulties, was told I couldn't see the doctor. Not told when I would receive a new appointment despite the hospital giving me the wrong department, because the person who books them is working from home. Obviously he/she was incommunicado. If I could have gone to a different hospital rather than 'no hope', I would have done. I have been informed that I may have cancer, I think it's disgusting how this hospital treats patients. If you can go to another hospital, I would request you do so.
Shocking. I would give zero stars. 13 weeks for appointment and in agony. Of work and can't live on 90 a week. They cannot make appointment time any sooner. Absolute shocking. They don't give a toss. Should be shut down. For god sake don't get ill or use life will be ruined
What is going off with people answering phones. I spent 50 minutes on the phone went from 9 down to 3 back up to 5, 6,7. Back down to 2 back to 7 back down to 7,6,5,4,3,2, 1 then back up to 2, 3 after 50 minutes I put the phone down and I desperately need some information. Dianne Ashton who I see, brilliant. Could not praise that lady enough as for people answering the phones if you're in a numerical queue, you're in a numerical queue and should be dealt with accordingly. Or do you make money off the mobile phone companies
I would like to thank the doctors and nurses of EAU ward whom looked after me on Tuesday 25th October. My gp thought I had a heart problem and was rushed to A&E and within 10 mins was taken to EAU and tests were done. Thankfuly it wasnt a heart attack but I was very poorly. The staff and doctors care bed side manner was second to none even though they were realy busy I spend quite a bit of time in different departments and always get the same treatment cannot fault Salford Royal
Why do I pay tax when I can’t even be seen in a&e? 6 hour wait but wait! A drunk patient who feel over and cut his arm gets seen before me yet I’m having chest pains. This hospital is a joke and no care for patients. If you’re white, you will be seen first. Racism at its finest!
This hospital has its faults like any other, there is so many negative reviews on here, which are justified to individual needs. My main gripe is that I have been discharged because they claim I have cancelled three appointments. The truth is their email/online system does, either not work or does not get read. One appointment was cancelled because my consultant deemed it uneccessary as was cancelled via email or online because I used both. The second one was cancelled by the hospital itself by letter. The last one was cancelled by me because I could not attend. The stroppy git on the phone took great delight in informing me that I am now discharged from the service as I had failed to turn up for 3 appointments. One which, as stated, was uneccessary and cancelled, one which was cancelled by them, the only one I have missed was THE ONE I cancelled myself. There is no communication within this trust and I had to wait over 18 months for my initial appointment because my GP didn't know how to speed up the process. Expedite A few years ago, we had a dermatologist who didn't even know her own email and I was discharged from that because this clown didn't know who or where she was, let alone her contact details. And these people want more money? Perhaps take some time out to be able to understand your role and understand why you are there. Pathetic. I wouldn't pay you in monopoly money. I was on your side before you decided to neglect my needs due to your inability to even follow your own guidelines. It is instructed, BY YOU, not to attend if you feel unwell with cold etc symptoms. Hypocrisy. Further, this appointment was kept on the 8th February and, well, the consultant could not understand why an appointment had been made in the first place as all these had been done previously. Clearly, before we start our sympathy sessions with the NHS, they should look at the facts in this case alone that there was no communication between departments, the people making the appointments are downright rude and need to address their attitude problems. I have been threatened with being struck off so to speak, this is because they insisted on remaking an appointment that was deemed uneccessary by the consultant and of which I informed the hospital on two occasions and it cost me £34 to attend an appointment with a consultant who was bewildered by my prescense. Does this deserve more money? No, it does not. It's pathetic and, quite frankly unacceptable.
