Great staff. Car park D is only a few minutes walk. Parking is free. May be a queue to go in. We only waited about 8/10 minutes. Plenty of seating in the dining area.
After such amazing care over the past twelve months for my husband, today was a BIG let down. First MRI after his life saving surgery and after an hour after his appointment and two friendly but firm complaints at reception he eventually got his prep drink. And three quarters of an hour later he was called for his MRI. No apology, no smiling staff faces, in fact the staff looked cheesed off and fed up. Other patients were accepted for their scans well before us and we were just left. So disappointing and feel so let down. These scans are every few months and now we come to dread coming. Organisation gone to pot ! Sorry Dept 11, you have failed us and have made a stressful situation much much worse today and in the months to come.
I had to write this , a family member had a lump removed and was told he had got it and it was containable but thought she needed radiotherapy just to make sure …. She waited and waited weeks went by weeks over the government guide lines so when she did get her treatment date she was told “ oh we are sorry but it’s gone into your lungs !! You have 6 to 12 months “ this lovely lady is in her 50 ‘s has two little granddaughters , she is now dying a terrible death because she was left without treatment ….. it’s a complete disgrace by the hospital the doctors striking !! Well I hope your pay rise is worth it and to all the big bosses going off on their expensive holidays taking massive bonuses I would not have your consciences !!! . This lovely lady is one of millions being let down your a disgrace
Visited and attended appointment with a friend who is undergoing the cancer treatments at Christies, one of the best centres in the UK and Europe! Staff so caring and helpful to all! Building has mega expanded since last visited in 2017. Beautiful garden very well maintained, available canteens and eating/ waiting areas around the building. Free car parking area D available short walking distance from Center. In absolute admiration and in deepest gratitude to all people who are providing amazing facilities and services day-to-day for cancer patients! Highly recommended!
One of the best hospital's in the world. Every step of the way of my treatment was just perfection. The food on the wards is exceptional. All the staff are so helpful and friendly.
Hello do you detect cancer? If yes can I do appointment private i dont know what checks to do im not well for about 2,3 Years and gp does not get it. Thank you for more information.
Lovely place staff are lovely was on department 63 on Monday the staff was lovely and the two ladies on reception was lovely I was on ward 10 last week after surgery like to thank all the nurses and doctors for looking after me
Another first class treatment in Chemo ward with Team 4 today. Thanks to all the staff.
Great staff, amazing people to be around, the restaurant food is incredible.
I second dianne comment.my dad is receiving care also in ward 12.the place is a shambles, nurses can never answer any questions reguarding care, medication general enquires about my dad.sent for 2 ecgs one day and they weren't sure why, caught covid and another infection which they say they don't know what it is.arrive at the hospital to an empty bed and no one knew where my dad was.the place is often left with used syringes left lieing about and pain meds in pots but not known what they are or why they haven't been given.you could ask the staff what ward he's currently on ward 12 fyi and it would be same generic reply "I don't know I haven't been caring for him today,I don't know ive only just come on shift" noone knows the answers to anything suprised they know there own name!!! Having a relative recieve treatment at the christies is scary enough and causes so much anxiety yet they someone how they make it worse. Jason Simons who works for palliative care loves the sound of his own voice.i never once disbelieved when told my dad was dieing but he proceeded to tellme this in a condescending way 3x despite my distress. I have proof of this. EDIT I have been asked to remove this which I won't be doing as this is what happened. PALS took virtually no action yet are panicking about a review so tell me me why should I remove this?if this isn't true or what happened.
