Went in for dinner the other evening. Very friendly staff, warm, welcoming atmosphere. Was very impressed with the vegan options. I had the vegan banana blossom 'fish' and chips which was delicious and then apple pie with vegan ice cream for dessert. Great selection of beers. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.Service: 5/5
Had better food at weatherspoons. Ridiculous prices£17.50 for frozen chips, peas and a made up pie. I would not recommend for food unless you’re happy to be overcharged for ping food. The only reason we did eat all our food was because we were very hungry after a very long walk.Service: 2/5
Really decent food with a wide selection. Beer garden out the back. Lovely location a little away from the busier tourist street. Got there just in time as was packed out as the rain came down. Good beers too! No review for a stay as we weren’t staying!Service: 5/5
Great little pub. We booked for a Sunday Roast as we were in the area, and they allow dogs. One of the BEST roasts I’ve ever had. Very reasonable for the price and portion sizes. The pork was delicious and the crackling was top class. Proper gravy with meat juices and all the pan bits. Amazing pub and fab that they allow dogs.
The Inn with history! A nice little find. Called and booked a table a few weeks before and glad I did, it’s a busy little Inn. Walked in and every table had a ‘reserved’ on it. Plenty of home cooked food, all with a reasonable price tag. Vegan and Vegetarian dishes available too. More than happy with the service but prepared for a delay if I’m honest. It’s a compact and cosy place, a small bar and would imagine a Kitchen to match. That said, the staff work well. All the usual suspects behind the bar in terms of gin and a few popular lagers - Amstel and Moretti, alongside some real ales. So if it’s lunch or dinner you want or a stop off for refreshments after or halfway through a walk, it’s worth a shout. PCB
After a circular walk from Hope, we stopped off at the pub for a drink, a couple were just coming out and had recommended the Sunday lunch, easily tempted as we are, I asked if there was a table free, the very kind gentleman behind the bar Steve? accommodated us and had said that we could have it for an hour and half as it was reserved for later, greatly appreciated this and was plenty of time to enjoy a pudding too!! The food was fresh, great quality and hot, we couldn’t fault it! Definitely be back!
Visited for Sunday lunch Beef roast and a vegetarian Sunday Roast sweets to follow. Both lunches were excellent tasty and arrived nice and hot. Sweets were great too.Polite and efficient service from staff and Landlord. We will be back.
Perfect find! Third time visiting, spot on as always. We always book, the pub soon fills up after opening. Proper home cooked food, highly recommend.Service: 5/5
We came here having come off the hills late in the evening with no where to eat. We were very lucky to get a table as a group were leaving. The staff were really helpful and friendly despite us being wet and in a bit of a mess! The menu is brilliant, especially for vegetarians and vegans. Food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes we also great, especially great if you have been on a long walk.
Gorgeous place, stayed 2 nights, could have stayed a week! Comfy room above bar, not noisy, just gentle babble. Menu amazing, tasted lots of things, local fare, filling and tasty, home-made, all stunning, great staff, good wines. Loved the location, walks from door, view of hills from our room.Rooms: 4/5
