When the sun is shining the Inn has a really nice beer garden with children's play area. Good pub grub at reasonable prices. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Lovely atmosphere and decor, polite staff and gorgeous food. On the more expensive side, but the quality made the price worth it. Will be returning when I'm next in the area.
Quiet family meal, peaceful, certainly not currently too busy. Had trouble getting accurate info on openings / bookings, best response came via messenger as phone line was not connecting other than voicemail. Organisation and food was good, with lovely attention from staff team. Unfortunately no tapas currently on offer which is a shame but perhaps understandable in the context of sharing dishes. Wishing you the best for a busy and active summer
Make this the start and finish of a popular 3 mile walk nearby. It takes you a circular route along and across the river Derwent, leaving you ready for a well earned drink. The pubs clean, welcoming and has onsite parking. Ample spaced out seating in the grounds with a nice view of the river.
We're very lucky to have this place as our local pub. In winter we enjoy going in for a quick drink after a walk in the beautiful countryside, warming up by the open fire. In the summer, it's great to enjoy the light evenings in the pub garden. Food is good traditional pub food. A small but generally good selection of beer on tap. And always warm and friendly service
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub has changed from its normal tapas menu to pub classics due to c19. The house merlot was lovely. The other half had the special chicken burger which was really nice. I had the pie chips and peas were great the pie was ok but it did feel like a chip shop pie. Great service and great prices really a main is about £10. All in all we would definitely return.
An excellent bar. Varied tapas menu expertly cooked and served as & when ready to enable you to eat the previous courses. Varied drinks menu including gins, prosecco, larger etc. Reasonably priced food in a lovely location. The staff are excellent too. All young, polite & well trained in customer service. A credit to the bar & their parents. A special mention to Emily who knew her stuff, was efficient & entertaining. Thank you all. We will return
Really nice food and lovely atmosphere! Very kind staff! I ordered the Hunters chicken and it was delicious. I'll definitely come back :
Lovely food, tapas style so if out for a big walk don't expect pie and chips. Staff were friendly. Dogs are welcomed
Lovely good, great selection of beers and cozy yet modern interior. Great place to pop in after hikes in Peak District
