Neighborhood gem. Small intimate theater with cozy comfy armchairs. Take drinks and snacks from the cocktail bar into the film with you or enjoy them before or after the film. You have to walk up somewhat hard to see steps from the street, giving this place a speakeasy vibe, especially given the decor. Friendly staff. Carefully selected films. Gourmet market downstairs so you can stop and pick up groceries on the way out.

Cosy Experience Lovely, little cinema tucked away in Hackney, East London. Beautifully renovated, it still retains its original 1913 -1920 ambiance....... Comfy armchairs await for your viewing pleasure. Cosy, intimate screen room. It was a little chilly in the screen room, but not enough to feel uncomfortable. The foyer/bar area is intimate & tastefully furnished. Staff are incredibly polite & helpful. Real service with a smile! A very pleasant experience at The Castle........

A little more expensive than some places, but well worth it. The bar is super nice for a pre film drink or snack and the cinema itself is v comfy with actual arm chairs! Definitely recommend

Fabulous cinema, with great array of new and art house films. You enter a wonderful period bar to relax in before entering the cinema. The film start about 5min after the time, with no trailers. Join as a member and get 10% off food, drink and tickets.

Only been there once (so far) but was impressed. The bar looks like a proper pub and then you go behind the bar to find a comfy-seated cinema. I'll be back.
