Saw 2 films for a fiver apiece during the Oscars promotion: Conclave and Wicked. Virtually had the whole screening to myself both times - super comfy seats & good facilities. Screens are huge so had to move several rows back from my booking and sit right at the back to avoid blurred vision tho -!
It's really great place for watching movies, having fun. O2 is a place with lots of stuff from games to shopping, from movies to restraints and concerts. We got unlimited movie cards and it's really worth. Cause they give unlimited access to watch movies plus an extra 30% off on purchasing food and beverages at cineworld.
Had one of the worst experiences today during my time here at Cineworld where i always loved to watch movies and had been my go to place in London but alas not this time which i just would wish to forget. I had booked for a ticket to view the movie SookshmadarshiniMalayalam which was scheduled at 08:20pm on 26/11/2024. Having waited till 08:50pm just to be told that were was a technical difficulty in playing the show and all i could see on the screen was the slideshow and timer during intermission and after which there was nothing on the screen. I was happy to wait for the issue to be resolved which the authorities promised to do at first and later came to a conclusion that they wouldn’t be able to play and was surprised to hear the solution that they brought up. All of us who came in hope to watch the movie and waited for more than 30minutes were asked to move to the other screen which played the same show and had started earlier 08:10pmthan this show. Being asked to miss the first 15 minutes of a movie and still watch it felt disgusting considering the fact that I paid for the ticket and came early to the show as well.I can understand the fact that technical errors could happen anywhere and is nearly inevitable but the way they handled such an error from their side is beyond questionable and truly unfair to everyone who paid for their tickets and waited all the extra time just to get to watch a movie. Although they provided a voucher as an apology it doesn’t cover for the prejudice against the service users. I would please ask the authorities in charge to look into this matter and resolve it in a better way if possible.
I recently visited The O2 Greenwich Cineworld to watch a film and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service at the kiosk was quick. The venue was tidy and they serve a good range of food and drink options here. Screen seven upstairs was spacious, and the seats were comfortable and in good condition.
Back again and love it here in vip experience!nnReview for Cineworld VIP.nFirstly arrive 45mins before film not before. We arrived earlier and was told we had to wait outside for 6min then someone else appeared and said we had to wait 36mins! I asked can we buy drinks at the bar area ? His reply was I'll have to get my supervisor really?? but this person never appeared?? So this first experience of staffing was poor and undecisive. Clearly a staff training issue.nnNext the buffet!nNow I wasn't expecting outstanding food and I wasn't wrong. Look the pizza ok, but only 2 choice. Rest of food was Icelands frozen party food quality.nMac and cheese was penne pasta and cheese.nChicken in chicken tikka masala have a funny texture.nMore salad dips then actual salad.nFresh fruit was blueberries and tinned pineapple.nBest selections there was the desserts and ice cream machine.nnCinema food selection was okay.nPopcorn warm and well stocked, chicken hotdogs nice, I know people moan that its chicken but we've all been eating MRM chicken hotdogs for years without knowing it!! At lease they have the decency to tell us its chicken.nSoft drinks a bit flat so stuck to the bottled water.nIce bucket was just waternDidn't try the nachos but looked OK.nnCinema seating was amazingly comfortable and enjoyable screening, only criticism its extremely load!nnWould definitely book again and found it good value based on the unlimited cinema snacks and drinks.nBuffet Food does need to improve, best just stick to pizza and ice cream here.
