A lovely old English pub with seating inside and out. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Service was good and friendly.Food: 5/5
This very old pub has retained its dark old interiors and decor that appears to not have changed in years. All is very rustic and the staff are as just as raw, but in a good way. The atmosphere cannot be replicated any other way. The food is decent and the prices are very reasonable. It’s a dog friendly venue and I simply loved it.
The day we visited was an absolutely dreadful day and our tour round the moor dismal but the welcome we had from the two ladies behind the bar and taking orders were so friendly and cheerful and the young man serving so polite and helpful it was the bright stop and saved the dayFood: 5/5
Very much a locals pub though that doesn't mean to say that you're not welcome if visiting. You are certain of good ale, wonderful service and a pub with a lot of charm and character. Wonderful to sit outside on a sunny day overlooking the village green. Been there several times and will go again. Never had food but what was being served to others looked very good.
Free House in pretty village. Unmodernised, and all the better for that. There are two bars, a family room and a pool table room. Interesting range of independent beers on handpump. Clearly a popular place for the locals.
A very welcome pint after walking from Bodmin, quite busy but always welcoming. Excellent sunday lunch. Very friendly efficient staff. Well worth the visit.Food: 5/5
Excellent village pub. Great choice of beer and very friendly bar lady. Lovely weather, for a change, so sat outside overlooking the lovely village green. Perfect place to relaxService: 5/5
This is a beautiful country pub, full of character and welcoming energy. The kitchen takes great pride in their food with good reason, it's very tasty and portions are massive! They brew their own ales, we tried them all. Each had their own distinctive character and flavor notes, or favourite was the Buddha, but all were 5/5 ales. Check out the all the mugs on the ceiling, tankards and even witches! Brilliant experience, can't wait to return some day
This is a warm friendly pub with absolutely lovely staff a ten out of ten all round. The food we had was amazing and very fairly priced. They stock a local lager too which is up there with the best lagers I've ever tasted in fact I'd even say probably the best : This was a very good evening. The pub is a little off the main track but in very easy reach of Bodmin. Highly recommended.
A fabulous village pub, frequented by locals who make us holiday makers very welcome. Super dog friendly that receive treats from everyone. We will definitely return.Food: 4/5
