Stopped in for a cream tea and it did not disappoint! Lovely friendly team really busy and cute cafe! Nice menu good variety! Highly recommend the sandwich and the cream teas. Ideal place to fuel or refuel before or after a walk in the woods also ideal that it's dog friendly!Food: 5/5
We stopped at this little cafe in the woods a few years ago when visiting Devon. We enjoyed our visit so much that we made sure to get on the road in time to stop on our way to Cornwall. Their food is delicious and done to a high standard. We enjoyed bacon, brie, and cranberry sandwiches. The bread is like doorstops but so soft and moreish. Their scones are also very moreish, soft, and fluffy on the inside, with a slight crunch to the outside. Served warm, perfect with jam and cream, accompanied by a cup of tea. The location is stunning and very peaceful. Great place to get out and explore. The atmosphere inside the cafe is perfect, cosy, and very welcoming. Highly recommend a visit. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the woods car park, and the cafe is less than a 1 minute walk over the little bridge. You will need to pay.
We visited this lovely little place on Saturday 30 Dec 2023. It had been recommended to us if we were ever in the area and I'm so glad we went ! The Savoury Cream Tea I had was the most delicious plate of food I have eaten in quite some time, soft still warm scones with a slight crisp on the outside, soft cheese, fruity chutney and big old mug of tea ! Comforting and warm with an open fire, great service and also dog friendly. If we lived closer I would be here every weekend !
Beautiful setting for this cafe in the Cardinham Forest. They have tables outside for the sunny days and seating inside for the not so warm days. The decor is really nice and the food was really tasty. The location also gives you the option of going for a walk in the forest to walk off your meal. Please note that the parking is not free for non members.
Lovely cafe, lovely selection of cakes and food. Drinks option is good too. Cute little cottage setting. No table service, you order at the till. I'm on Instagram and TikTok - DieponfoodFood: 4/5
Beautiful and cosy. Delicious vegan chocolate cake and an amazing coffee. Open fire place and nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Fresh soup and quick service!
Excellent cafe in cardinham woods which itself a lovely place for a stroll or longer walk if you wanted. Very dog and kid friendly with a park suitable for most ages just to the front of it. Decent range of food and drink mainly coffee, tea and sweet stuff I think. There's also a separate kiosk like place to get ice cream. Coffee is very good actually one of the best in the area they even do a dirty chai. As you would imagine it's not cheap and it gets very busy during peak times but it's definitely worth coming to - if you can come early. Parking: 3 quid for 2 hours at cardinham though free for members Kid-friendliness: Has some highchairs and park next door
Absolutely delicious! Best Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Ciabatta ever! I could have eaten around 10 of those! The scone was lovely and warm too, freshly baked and also amazing. Definitely recommend. We stopped here on a whim and so glad we did.
We've been coming to Cornwall for 30 years and never knew this little gem existed. A beautiful stone building tucked deep in Cardingham Woods. Surrounded by beautiful forestry, a well maintained play area with plenty of seating, nature trails, ample paid parking, and a quaint little ice cream hut. The only reason I haven't given a 5*, perhaps unfairly as there is little the owners can do but is relevant to the guest experience, is the swarm of wasps disturbing those eating outside. In addition, we were joined by a horse rider who brought her horse into the seating area. A pretty spectacular sight until it emptied it's bowels right in the middle of the eating area giving off the most tremendous stench and clearing the area. Unless the rider was carrying a black bag and a shovel, it's probably still there. We didn't hang around to find out. Manuregate aside, the team are extremely friendly and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Newquay. Parking: Ample paid parking
Lovely location and very tasty food! It's not that clearly signposted but when you get there it's idyllic. Plenty of options for where to sit - in or out or in the back garden - and all very nice. We had Cornish Cream Tea and a few cakes and were not at all disappointed. Quick service and friendly staff too.
