Highly recommend this hotel which is far better than it's 2* classification. Our room was modern, clean, well appointed and with comfortable beds. The restaurant is excellent, with well prepared meals, both European and Asian. All of the staff were efficient, helpful and very friendly. We would have no hesitation in staying again.
This was a very disappointing experience. I went for 2 nights with my husband & parents.nThe reception staff were cold & unfriendly, to the point where I felt like we were an inconvenience.nMy mum is in a wheelchair & we were assured that the hotel was wheelchair accessible. It is not. Accessing their room required a 90’ turn in a very confined space, the room was so small that you couldn’t turn the chair around so we had to drag her out backwards. The bathroom was virtually unusable for her; she managed to get to the toilet, but the shower has a significant step up ~30cm, making it impossible for her to use.nAccess to the reception / restaurant is via the carpark, which has such a steep, sideways slope; we had to drag her chair backwards for fear that she would fall out.nThe reception staff knew it was my dad’s 90th birthday, but didn’t so much as wish him well.nnThe only redeeming feature was the restaurant; the staff were all friendly & helpful, & the food whilst overpriced was ok.
Conveniently situated in the middle of town but quiet. Rooms were very clean with modern decor. The whole hotel looks well maintained.nStaff were super helpful and friendly.
My 1st question has to be why is this place only a 2*. On arrival there was plenty of parking right in the centre of Bodmin.nThe staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. Bathroom very modern and spotless.nWe ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing.nI wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place as a Base.
Room was quite small but clean and comfortable, very good for the price. Lovely bathroom and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you!
