So we came here for food after Google and trip advisor both recommended, don’t think they got the memo about food no longer being served! Regardless we stayed for 2 rounds and it was the most fascinating place we’ve been to! There’s a taxidermy lion in the back garden, we’ve never come across one in our lives so this was a surprise! It’s a beautiful place with lots of fascinating and quirky things all around, the toilets were very clean and there are lots of drinks to chose from. The red haired lady who served us was just fantastic, we never caught her name but she was just brilliant, really friendly and welcoming! We’re local and we can’t wait to come back!
What a sweet little public house! Went in there so I could shelter from the awful weather while waiting for my lady to finish work. Sat in a warm cosy environment, relaxing and having a pint. The pub was wonderful, quaint and full of history. Service was spot on. Great staff and welcoming.nLovely little pub to have a relaxing drink.
Oasis for ales and conviviality. Friendly regulars welcome strangers. The blonde barkeeps have sunny dispositions. Fascinating memorabilia fill the walls and ceiling. Nice beer garden attached. Pleasantly dark inside so allow for your eyes to adjust if coming in from the sun!
Visited the pub for the first time very recently and found it to be very friendly and a cosy atmosphere, beer was good too, would highly recommend.
What an aptly named pub, at first glance there is no obvious pub! But just look round the car park and you will see the entrance. Once inside the lovely pub I was pleased to see the fabulous array of real ales. Following expert advice and the offer of tasters from the friendly server I had the best beer I can ever recall finding whist touring Cornwall. Well worth visiting if you are near Bodmin. Worth 6 stars!
