Fabulous hotel. I love W hotels, they always look after you. It was my boyfriends birthday and they put a bottle of prosecco and cake in the room. They are always thoughtful and generous with touches like this. The bed is so comfortable and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Great location too. Walkability: Right in the middle of London in Leicester sq.
I have just changed my review, for better stars as i think i was too emotional as the staff didn’t let me to have late check out as I am Titanium member. To my mind it’s not typical W Hotel , interesting room design too small for two persons and location was a bit too busy for me. But breakfast was amazing, and friendly staff, safe Environment and everything is brand new and high tech .
Amazing location with the most caring and genuine staff. I stayed at this property for two nights and I was impressed from the moment I checked in. The property itself is located in the heart of Soho and walking distance from most attractions. I want to personally thank Sebastian, the Welcome Desk manager, Georgia and George from the concierge who gave me the best recommendations and I am not easy to satisfy, Rachelle from the front desk and finally Marina who makes a mean cocktail. This is the property I will stay at when visiting London. Great memories.
Excellent hotel! The hotel staff reception, entrance, restaurant, chambermaids are all super nice and will do everything to make the stay at the hotel amazing. My husband is a Marriott Titanium Elite member - we were upgraded to the best suite that was available junior suite and we were allowed a late check out without any problem. We love W hotels so much and W London did not disappoint either. We will definitely recommend and visit the hotel again on our next visit to London.
As soon as I walked in, staff was friendly and offered to take my suitcases to my room while I check in. Pratima provided excellent checking in process made things easy and was very attentive. She offered me a cocktail and left a complimentary chocolate. Thank you for making me feel special. Concierge also helped me with addresses and good information. My room is spacious and very high tech. I love the good security and its location is absolutely perfect!
AFTERNOON TEA REVIEW - although we were one of few people there for this meal, the staff was excellent at making sure we were enjoying every component of it. The sandwiches we delicious, the scones were crumbly and served with amazing clotted cream, and the desserts were super unique and tasty. It's a bit on the pricier side, and the vibe of this place is quite different from the usual high teas, but I would highly reccomend it!
A few things to know about the W: 1 if you're hoping to catch a cab or Uber without waiting for 20 minutes, this is not the place for you. The traffic in the area is atrocious 2 the staff is kind and courteous but not accommodating. My upgrade was rejected, my room had twin beds, my room key didn't work twice, and my reservation was cancelled twice. They are very apologetic, but at $1000 a night, I don't want any problems. 3 it is loud. This is a place for partying. There are scores of well dressed people all over the place all of the time, and the music and DJs keep them going. 4 if you take a shower, be prepared for water to get everywhere. The shower doors aren't secure and water will leak. 5 prostitutes and drug addicts galore after 2am outside.
Enjoyed weekend stay here and the location is excellent for the hustle and bustle. Being where it is some noise is expected. 6th floor was ok and handy the gym which is small but well equipped. Beds very comfortable and yes the sink in the room set up is weird and I wish hotels would stop doing it!Rooms: 4/5
Similar to others experience, bathroom setup is not good. Water ran all the way across the room after a short shower even with towel at base of door. Interesting rooms but very small. Definitely not good for seniors, beds low to ground. Service is outstanding at all levels. Location was perfect for us.
I stay at Marriott hotels 75-100 nights a year. This room was worse than a cruise ship, tiny! Not sure why a closet shower and toilet is acceptable. Water leaked from one to the other after a shower. Asked the manager for an upgrade willing to pay and only option was the penthouse for 1000 pounds more a night. All the other suites were under “repairs” which seems suspect. They also were overbooked… don’t do that! Breakfast was also terrible, with everything from toast to tomato to bacon not cooked enough. This should be the lowest class of Marriott. Move to a great hotel, with a nice large suite for 100/pounds more a night! Check out the Botree!!! The hotel, rooms and neighborhood are great… especially for those that like a vibe that is much more low key!
