Never done a pub chip review before but this is fully deserved. Stopped for a quick drink on the way to football and had a pot of chips with our beers. I have eaten chips all over the world. These are quite superb. Large crispy chips but fluffy inside. Plus fine Timothy Taylor beer. All for a little over £10. Will do that again. Highly recommend.
Camping near by ..so popped in for a couple of drinks sat afternoon and Sunday with our dogs...great roast dinner from what I could see ..and the "landlord" brought out plate of leftover roast potatoes foc for us... Well worth a visit we will def be back.
Brilliant service, got the table quickly even though we did book. Beautiful atmosphere and amazingly tasty food. The desserts are good too the sticky toffee was the best I ever tasted. I highly recommend this pub
This is a very nice pub just south of Oxford. There is a wide range of beers and wines, and the food is excellent. There is a nice garden in the back. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, and the coffee is good too! One of my favourite pubs.
Had a lovely experience recently in their spacious beer garden one evening. Service was smiley, efficient and friendly. I had the most delicious duck and watermelon salad. It was so refreshing and I'd highly recommend!
Called in for a quick drink whilst waiting for friends to walk our dogs . Couldn’t resist a spot of pre walk lunch . Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. We only had a lite lunch but we all throughly enjoyed the food . Very very dog friendly, even when my extra large greyhound did his usual trick of lying down in the way of everyone.
Great village pub. Staff are very friendly. Good range of drinks. Never eaten in the pub but the menu looked good
What a stunning meal; a real treat. Beautiful duck starter followed by the stunning, absolutely sensational braised blade of beef - both accompanied perfectly by the pinot noir, and finished off with the sticky treacle and porter pudding the porter is local!!!..... Service was perfect and Matt, Alistair and Jemima are always fantastic. Patrick, Seb and Kamil have done a flawless job, as always. Honestly, this has been the best dinner out I've had for a long time.
Really nice food, Really big portion reasonable prices. However puddings are slightly overpriced as the portions are quite small.
Lovely food, service and excellent drinks options from this community owned pub.
