Perfectly fine place to have a bite, maybe. I’d avoid the Guinness though, because it’s rubbish. Not surprised, but disappointed! Tasted really metallic, more so than normal. Vegan loaded fries were actually quite good! We didn’t get the breakfast so no comment there, but I imagine it’s a welcome relief for patrons of the nearby Premier Inn. We arrived and the whole place was pretty empty, but the staff still wouldn’t let us sit in the restaurant area where there were faux fireplaces. Bit of an odd rule
LOW QUALITY AND VERY EXPENSIVE FOOD Spacious restaurant with friendly staff behind the bar, while the other guy with glasses was rushed in the service going so fast we couldn't ask for anything, our dishes were not at all what we expected, completely different from the advert, and for the the price you pay I would say that it is not fair the only well-made and slightly good meat was the chicken the rest like the steak was a shoe sole, the pork without flavor the sausages not well cooked and the "Half" pork ribs the barbecue didn't taste like barbecue just black pepper, not to mention the misery of the rocket a mushroom and two small onion rings, the corn ... it was a joke, we didn't like it and we will never go back
We went early afternoon during the week. Hospitality is suffering at the moment and people need to have more empathy and understanding. The restaurant had clearly been busy but We were welcomed with a smile. My friends mum has early stage dementia and we were looked after really well. She was put as ease, the food was lovely too.Food: 5/5
Ordered surf&turf , very good taste . The staff very nice and funny , surely coming back with my family to dine here
Very nice pub, little bit of a slow start with staff, but our waitress at table was great. Very limited vegan options on festive menu and regular slimmed down menu. Toilets also could have been better. But generally a nice eatery. Wheelchair accessibility: Great wheelchair access.
It-s my birthday today and i have been staying in Oxford. On the off chance we decided to see if there was a table at the Beefeater as I fancied a steak. We arrived at the door at around 5pm and was immediately faced with a very rude member of staff who just hurled abuse at us. If I'm honest I have never been treated like this at any restaurant We stood at the bar and he purposely ignored us and then refused to give us his name. He said he was the manager!!!. Shocking service we simply just wanted to know if there were any tables and if we had to wait what would be the wait time. Such a shame as i visited the same restaurant only 2 weeks ago for breakfast. The staff I met were amazing and went above and beyond for me. This experience has left me feeling terrible. Not a good birthday having had this experience. I've gone back to hotel and won't bother to eat anything. I actually feel sick
Went here for a Sunday roast and it was very enjoyable. The roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy are unlimited. Good value for money!Recommended dishesSunday Roast, Triple Chocolate Brownie
Arrived and ordered a doombar which was on the turn so got a keg beer replacement, to play it safe. vegetarian burger not available, disappointed. So ordered fish and chips. Very good. My son had pizza, over cooked and just tasked weird. Staff great and overall a lovely place just needs a few tweets.Food: 3/5

Stayed at the premier next door. Pre booked a meal for 8pm. We were given a table, bought drinks and ordered starters and main meals. 10 minutes later the waiter came back to say will you have your starters and main together as we're closing soon due to the weather, we should have said no but being polite we agreed. Food was barely warm, broccoli was cold. Roast potatoes were frozen produce. It took another 10 minutes to catch the waiter for more gravy, this was also just warm, my wife did complain about all this to the waiter, then he came back after 10 minutes and asked was everything OK!!!!!!!!. Got the impression in this place that they just can't be bothered and wanted to go home. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. There lucky to get 1 star.
