I had the absolute pleasure of attending the VIP Christmas Party at the hotel Spa, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming, as always, and the event was flawlessly organized. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and made everyone feel truly special. I had the opportunity to explore and try out a variety of amazing cosmetic products, which were also available to purchase at great prices. The ladies presenting the products were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient, answering all my questions with care. The treatments were the highlight of the evening for me. I enjoyed a wonderful hand massage with Viletta and a soothing hot stone foot massage with another lovely therapist. Both experiences were incredibly relaxing and expertly delivered. Throughout the event, we were treated to a delightful selection of drinks and delicious snacks, which added an extra touch of luxury to the evening. Overall, it was an absolutely amazing event and a consistently lovely experience. I’m already looking forward to returning for a full spa day and more beauty treatments soon!
Hotel, gym, spar, pool, bar and food hall were all great. Love the feel of the hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and always happy to help. Cleaners even put card in for fridge when I left and forgot. Only issues were the room. It was clean and modern feel but was by far the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The bed was very firm! I like firm but this was too firm, so didn't sleep too well. The sink plug jammed, the toilet was a squeeze and the heating or Aircon same temp at either end of setting. You also could not see the TV very well from the bed and no view from window. That said we did overall love our stay and did still enjoy our time in the room.
Room bit small no conditioner, just body wash & shampoo for 2 but buffet breakfast decent spread and venue very large with plentiful seating nicely spread out. Location good as short walk leads you to many shops incl Marks & Spencer, Decathlon, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, Paris Baguette, Boots etc. Hyde Park abt a 15min walk away also lovely. If you want to book theatre tickets, Giovanni at Concierge Desk is excellent & most helpful with recommendation & advice; will also help book and print tickets for you. Noteworthy details: Giovanni very friendly & helpful at Concierge !
The room was clean but had furniture that had seen better days - The mattress was hard, the pillows were dead flat I asked the cleaners twice to change them but no action was taken, the towels were clean but smelled of cooked food. We were given a room opposite to a room where construction work was being done in the afternoons. The last two days of our four nights stay have been absolutely noisy and extremely disturbing. I contacted reception and it took them a long time to respond to my call and said they will deal with the situation and nothing happened. The management of this hotel has zero interest in the comfort and safety of residents. We were breathing dust. They were invisible! I made the point to them “why did they allocate us a room opposite to a room less than 2 metres apart where construction and noisy drilling was planned during our stay!!!!”. They really spoilt our London holiday. We chose it because of its location in central London, in the High Kensington Street area. I was eventually connected to a supervisor and I asked to speak with the duty manager but was told the duty manager was out out of sight, out of mind! On the second day, we decided to have our dinner at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was of poor quality and it was the worst fish dish my wife and I had. However, breakfast is respectable but not as good as the Holiday Inn located in central Belfast. In Belfast they served fresh orange juice, not from a carton container. The quality of food in Belfast was better!
We are currently staying here. Our booking is for 10 nights. We have been here 3 nights so far. First night fire alarm at 4:00 am. False alarm. The next 2 evenings we had to have maintenance repair the toilet from constant running The black- out curtains will not stay on the curtain hooks and keep dropping to the floor. We asked Guest Relations if we could have a blanket as there is only a duvet which is very heavy and hot. They said it would be taken care of. No blanket has ever appeared. We stayed here many times in the past and liked it This was a Premium King room booking . We are very disappointed We will not stay here again
I’ve stayed here many many times for work. The location is great. However, hotel rooms don’t get much smaller. I’d say there’s room for two people and one suitcase. I’ve had constant issues with keys not working and having to have the door lock mechanism replaced or rekeyed several times, the bathtubs are dangerous to climb in and out of and literally been staying here for over 20 years and this is first time I got a shower, no tub. I highly recommend requesting no tub if risk of slipping is a concern. My tv keeps turning on and my phone doesn’t work to call the front desk to complain about it. It’s 0245 and I have to leave hotel at 0550. This stay I’m not so thrilled about. Positive notes are location, kind staff and love their fish n chips in the lobby restaurant. Nearby activities: Close to Kensington Park, lots of shopping and decent options for dining, M&S, Whole Foods, casual and fine dining. Boots and Metro close by.
Myself and my partner have stayed here twice now and both times have been pretty pleasant The first time stayed they had the gym shut for refurbishment which was slightly inconvenient but we were gifted a couple free drinks from the bar as a way to say sorry, the second time the gym was open amd very well equipped plus all the swimming and sauna facilities are great additions to this hotel. Would i stay here again... definitely!
This hotel is ridiculous! They made us wait nearly 2 hours for housekeeping to get to a room to clean. Rooms are tiny & staff is less than cooperative. The bellhop was encouraging me to go have a seat in the back hallway because they had me in the lobby for so long. Holiday Inn should be ashamed at this level of incompetence. It’s an excellent location but horribly mismanaged!
It was a business trip and we stayed at Holiday Inn Kensington for three nights. The staff is very polite and helpful. Room was alright regarding the size, but I would like to point out a few things that were missing: 1. There are no slippers in rooms which would be very convenient since we were staying for three nights 2. No toilette brush which was very confusing?! 3. The toilette is right next to one of the beds and you can basically hear everything when the other person is inside. 4. We were woken up at 2 AM by the alarm that was so loud and pretty scary. Cleanliness was ok, it could be better. Overall it is a nice hotel with nice service but it could be improved.
Good and bad! I booked a Premium King Room and specifically said in my preferences to be away from the lift. On arrival, we went to our room to find it was literally right next to the lift. Asked to change rooms, which they did. Our new room was fine but the bathroom had a ridiculously small cloakroom sink - so small you could not fit your head under the mirror cupboard above to spit toothpaste without it going all over the floor! Man on concierge very unfriendly. Other staff much friendlier. Special mention to the very helpful guy in the cafe who filled our water bottles for us, as we were told by reception water fountains had not been replaced since covid?! On the plus side, great location and good breakfast.
