My daughter, daughter in law and myself booked a spa day at Herb House Spa to celebrate our birthdays. After reading the reviews we were really looking forward to a special day. At the end of the day we were all very quiet. Only some time later did we admit to each other our disappointment. We left feeling processed, not pampered. The welcome was lukewarm, brief and off hand and the goodbye was hardly a nod of acknowledgement that we had ever been there. The only request I had made was for a massage room with a window as I get claustrophobic. This was ignored, and I was taken into a small room with no windows. When I pointed out my problem I was told there was no alternative. So the massage was done with the lights up full, which sort of helped. The outside space is lovely, but a lot of the spa rooms are enclosed and dark. The best part was lunch which was delicious and served with a smile. Next time it is back to Chewton Glen.

Limewood and chill. Such a stunning spa built into the new forest. Superb facilities, totally relaxing and feel part of nature

My favourite spa anywhere ever. Sitting in the sauna or the thermal pool looking out at the forest canopy is heaven. Good gym, nice pool. Total bliss.

This is a very relaxing spa, light and airy with some great views of the new forest, even from inside the sauna with a great big glass window to the outside. The facilities are not extensive but they cover enough to give you a nice day. The "Raw" restaurant is great with lots of vegan options, all very tasty.
