Amazing hotel, beautiful grounds and fantastic food. I went with Blind Veterans to a reunion and we had a wonderful day. The staff at the hotel are the very best. For me with sight loss, to have a layout such as this Hotel has and staff who pay such attention to detail in all they do made the day amazing. From the moment I entered there it was as if the hotel itself were giving me a hug and even though I had never been before I felt safe enough to relax and let my cane guide me. Believe me that feeling is not the norm. It reminded me of days gone by at the Hilton and the Dorchester Hotels. Where nothing was too much for all who entered them.

My wife and I were given an afternoon tea voucher for our wedding day, we were not disappointed by the location and food. When arriving we were treated to a beautiful wooded setting. The gardens are beautiful and there is a lot of wildlife in the wooded area. We were seated in the main lounged with a roaring fire. Our waitress was very warm and friendly, and had lots of suggestions for us to choose from. Our tea arrived very fast and the waiter, enjoyed showing off his skills whilst pouring the tea. We both found this very impressive and entertaining. We opted for sweet and savoury option. I had a few dietary requirements which were solved for me. My wife and really enjoyed the food and spent a lot of time exploring the histroy of the building. I suggest touring the ground after your tea, they are very well maintained. We really enjoyed our walk and were blown away by the setting. Will definitely be attending the hotel again for afternoon tea.

Attended today as part of the open garden day and took the opportunity to walk through the beautiful grounds. A lovely morning and with some great local suppliers meaning the kids took part in a tree climb and we purchased some delicious local produce - artisan breads and a watercress gin. Super event, well organised and with access to both the grounds and hotel it was a few hours very well enjoyed. Thank you

This is a lovely place and this review is based on restaurant dining only. Also we ate here as vegetarians so that is how we based the rating. You certainly can’t fault the greeting and also the dining area is lovely with lots of space around the tables. Lovely service and the quality of the food was lovely. However the choice for vegetarians is limited with only two choices each for starter and main. Add in the fact that cauliflower soup and cauliflower risotto where in the menus it restricted it even more as you would t want to have Cauliflower overload. Dessert was perfect and it was a lovely evening. Wish we could have have chilled in the lounge as it looked amazing but lacked time.

My daughter, Cathryn and her fiance Tom, married here on Saturday 21st April and it was the most wonderful and magical experience. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff, helpful, polite, experienced, and in truth, amazing. They made us all feel like royalty, and a big thank you to Gary, the wedding organizer, you did a brilliant job.
