Really horrible practice! If you try to book a Dr, they send you to the nurse, if you don't already know she's a nurse you will assume you have seen a Dr! I had 2 sick kids with ear infections, one under 1 year and the other 3 years old. The Dr appointment they gave me after ' triage' was 8 days after I had called asking for a Dr and antibiotics for my sons. I had thyroid results and the Dr literally told me ' I don't know what this means but it doesn't say you have cancer ' I tried to book appointments for my kids when they had the flu, chickenpox and other ailments so I can get a note for school. They referred me to an online form system that made no sense and said they need to be sick off school for a week to get a letter!!!! I also had the receptionist argue with me, I simply asked about the time of my appointment as I was trying to have it moved forward, she kept shouting and going around in circles asking if the time of my appointment wasn't suitable and if I wanted to change it. Literally my 3 year old has more intelligents. So yeh, unless you want to
Today this morning Dr Janet Aschkar put the phone down on me after the I asked to speak to another doctor as I was not receiving the help that i needed from her, I explained about my on going pain in my lower abdomen and these long term pains I have in my feet and thighs and my arm and shoulder and her advice was that i should rub my arm. and feet and I just wanted to be fully assessed as I’ve been in pain for years. I also suffer from mental health and trying to keep it under control by walking , changing my diet etc , women like myself are struggling so much with no help , I just felt , unheard and lost especially when she put the phone down on my abruptly , if we can’t go to doctors where can we go , we are treaded so badly and discriminated by professionals who are meant to care for us. I went with a problem thinking i would get answers and came off the phone feeling 10x worse. I hope that no one else has to experience this , I am beside myself sitting in my bed crying my heart out. Thinking I may have to go to A&E or what other help I can get so that I can get better. It should never have to be this way.
Disgusting treatment! Avoid here at ALL costs and find some where that actually cares about people!! We had an emergency they said they will definitely call back for appointment info 2 DAYS later no phone call, no message, no update, very careless and the third time it has happened even after chasing them down. Rude staff in rush to get off the phone and also useless, unhelpful telephone appointments and that’s even IF you actually manage to get one! You will be in pain and suffer relying on them.
I will be reporting to the CQC as well as GMC - the receptionists are so rude and tend to blurt out your medical information for others in the waiting room to hear. I was experiencing excruciating pains and symptoms after a missed period. I requested for an ultrasound and blood test specifically hormone related. They simply requested for a full blood count. No tests got pregnancy, no physical examinations like checking blood pressure or abdomen. Nothing - fast forward I've had to go privately due to their incompetence!! loved the Dugga! family but this practice has now gone downhill since they've retired!!! I'm fuming! I will now register with another practice and thank God I have the means to go private
HAD A BLOOD TEST DONE COUPLE WEEKS BACK ASKED FOR A COPY OF MY MEDICAL REPORT AND TEST RESULTS ..THEY DECLINED FOR THIS REASON ALONE I HONESTLY DON’T WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM OR ANY DOCTORS IN THIS COUNTRY .. THEY ARE ALL DOING THE DEVILS WORK …
Receptionists have improved a lot - the young ladies are all really friendly, much needed improvement. Wish I could say the same for the doctors, no annual health checkups on elderly patients as there used to be, some doctors are highly incompetent. My mum & I have been misdiagnosed many times. I'm surprised with the negative reviews on Dr Fahmi - for me, he's the only doctor that takes me seriously & has managed to sort out my issues...triage system is annoying, sometimes you'll have a serious issue but have to wait the next day for a call from the doctor? Better to go to A&E to get a proper diagnosis
This used to be a wonderful caring family run doctor surgery many years ago under the Duggal’s. But over recent years has gone completely downhill. None of the doctors seem to care or have time to listen. It’s all about getting you in and out as soon as possible and prescribing medication. I miss the good old days it’s a shame, I will now have to find a new surgery and do research beforehand
I was 5 mins late to my appointment and reception are telling me that the nurse has already gone on her break. How do you go on lunch 5 mins into my appointment.
Been registered to this surgery 30 years... Dr C Duggal is a life saver and Carol the receptionist was lovely. HOWEVER, since both retiring this surgery is HORRENDOUS. Indi the receptionist has the worst attitude, just utterly rude. Then you got DR FAHMY, Hossam... Shoved antibiotics down my mother's throat for months until she took herself to A&E and got diagnosed terminal! 2 weeks it took me to get "an appointment" over the phone 11.30am. After me ringing twice FAHMY, Hossam Dr called me at 4pm! After me explaining my 2 hospital visits whilst waiting for a GP appointment, he would not refer me to the necessary team the hospital advised. He told me that I am exhausting him! We know our children, our bodies and Dr's like FAHMY is the reason why people do not get diagnosed in time. Oh yeah and the manager is constantly changing, that should tell you all!
I am a carer for my uncle who has down syndrome and, I must admit each time I call the practise that's if I can reach out to them , they know who I am off by heart which shows respect and they really try there best to help and call the same day. HOWEVER , There was a time where me and my uncle had to wait for an hour and 10 minutes to be seen. The place does have a sickening atmosphere and it does smell of old furniture . REGARDLESS , the doctors and nurses are REALLY helpful. The system however is laid back and not very professional , however its not as bad as the reviews on here .
