The best GP Surgery in London by far. Their service from reception to Pharmacists/Nurses and Doctors is first class. The care and empathy they show towards your struggles is beyond description. The Doctor's here would go as far as attending your property* *dependant on factors e.g. locality, availability, workloads and emergency needs. I have seen people regret leaving this GP due to moving away from the area and we have high praise for the work all the staff do at London Fields Medical and whatever targets they have it seems certain they meet those targets consistently.
I was supposed to have an appointment from 14:00 - 14:10 with Dr Seemal Patel today. They called me at 13:59 and for some reason my phone wouldn't let me answer so the call dropped. I would have assumed they'd call back for a second attempt if the call did not go through. Really disappointing as you have to book an appointment only same day available, not in advance between midnight and 8am to secure an appointment. It's not an emergency which is fine but I would have thought they'd at least try again if the first call didn't connect. No caller ID and no way to let them know I'm still available. Really poor service.
Good service by the GP's the only thing I recommend is when a family is registered at the same surgery then they should all be under one on the patient access app as it is annoying trying to get an appointment for my children on the same day as me when I've already booked through the app only 1 appt per day. When I try to call I am number 20-30 in the queue then when I finally get through no appts left and it is for a child.
I think it'd be helpful to many more patients and those seeking help from the surgery that certain features on the NHS app should be allowed for access. The whole point of it being there is so its efficient for staff and patients. The app needs to be utilised a lot more imo. Other than that the DR'S are great but the organisational issues are hard to ignore someone needs to fix.it ASAP
Unable to get an appointment for weeks. No online booking system so you’re stuck trying to call each morning between their booking hours of 8:30-9am when the phone lines are constantly engaged. If you get through later in the day you’re told to call back the next morning and try then as they only book same day appointment’s
After 7 years with this surgery I now need to leave since I've moved outside the catchment area. It'll be a tough transition - the doctors here are wonderful. I've had many many positive experiences. Thank you!!!
There is a receptionist called Mandy who is unnecessarily rude. She lacks the ability to communicate politely to patients, whether it's in person or on the phone. It discourages you from seeing the GP at all. Every encounter with her has been unpleasant. I've never seen her talk to either myself or other patients in a compassionate way. When you request to talk to a doctor, she outright refuses to let you if you don't disclose private medical information with her. Her treatment is horrible yet the practice has done nothing about her. The actual doctors and nurses here are kind and compassionate but I really hope they do something about treatment of patients by reception staff.
I have been with this clinic for 16 years, and always had a positive experience. I agree that one of the receptionist is not always helpful and sometimes can be rude, but the doctors have always been extremely helpful, also during Covid time. The booking system has improved in the last few years. I had a 3 year break from the clinic because we moved to another area, but I was glad to come back after we returned to live in London Fields. The other clinic was much worse, in every aspect, inudinf long waiting times. Most importantly my son has now a permanent damaged kidney because of the negligence of the gps there. Whereas I always felt safe with the gps at the London Fields clinic.
Going to this surgery for more than 13 years now and the doctors and most reception staff are great. Occasionally one lady on the reception is very rude but it’s nothing comparing with the fact that you can always get same day appointment for the baby or myself which I know is not the case with other surgeries
I have been with this surgery for 30+ years. I have always found the staff and doctors to be most helpful, Dr Cahill was my main doctor before she retired and that lady is worth her weight in gold. She and one of the receptionist Herma helped me through some tough times in my life. That being said, I have read the bad reviews that Mandy recieved which has prompted me to write this review. She has ALWAY been helpful to me and my family, so those who have been bashing her may need to evaluate how they were with her and see if the review was a fair assement of how she was with them!! Absolutly love this surgery and all that work there 10/10 all round.
