This review is solely about Sabrina Richards. I found Sabrina to be very professional, easy to talk to along with her amazing listening skills, empathy and knowledge. She is the best member of staff in this surgery. We need more staff members like Sabrina! My experience of the other members of staff is disgraceful! Again this review is just about Sabrina, Trowbridge surgery i recommend that whatever your paying Sabrina , it’s does not warrant this ladies skills. Sabrina is a massive asset to the surgery. Also i think the management team need to ask Sabrina to train the rest of your staff on how to have manners, speak to people along with listening skills, the art of conversation and being able to have empathy and ensuring the patient is being spoken to rather than spoken at! Just to be clear when i say staff it also includes the GP’s and Clinicians . Sabrina , thank you so much! I had sleepless nights about the way your colleagues have treated me . I am so glad we spoke. Your positive energy radiates over the phone, you are an absolute legend and a star. I hope your employers recognise this. You will go far and you have a bright future and life ahead of you. If you’re a Type 1 diabetic, stay away!! My experience with Trowbridge Surgery as a Type 1 diabetic has been nothing short of terrible. How they can even call themselves a Health establishment is beyond me. As a new patient, it took them eight months to refer me to a diabetic specialist. They have repeatedly forgotten to send my prescriptions to the pharmacy, leaving me without insulin. When my insulin type was out of stock, they refused to change it, causing me to go three weeks without it. The receptionist consistently misinformed me, saying it’s my problem - sending me on endless phone calls when they could have resolved the issue themselves. I even had to involve my old hospital in Bath, which had to contact the surgery multiple times before they finally gave me the insulin I needed. Despite all this, they still haven't updated my prescriptions after my diabetic appointment. At every stage, there were excuses and no accountability. I was constantly promised call-backs that never happened. The care I’ve received here has been unacceptable.
Sabrina was very helpful and kind, she took her time to guide me through how to use Dr Q app. I’m so very grateful to her because I was struggling how to use the app to book an appointment. She was the only receptionist who took her time to show me. The best customer service I had over the phone at Trowbridge Surgery.

Sabrina made me feel so calm even tho I arrived at the surgery really emotional and upset . I have been through ivf and finally got our positive and was struggling to get hold of a vital medication to help sustain that pregnancy. Sabrina understood why am I emotional and why this is so important and she sorted everything out for me and 10 minutes later I had my medication. I am so grateful that she saw past my upset and focused on finding the solution for me!
AVOID! The worst GP practice I have ever encountered. The doctors are nice but the admin staff are absolutely useless. They mixed up my NHS records with someone with a similar name in Wolverhampton! and it took me 2 years to try and get it rectified..then they signed me out of the surgery! Went in and spoke to an older black woman who was really friendly and helpful - ordered me a repeat prescription and said she’d sign me back up. Next time I went to order my prescription it was refused because I wasn’t signed on to that surgery!!! Went back in and a younger black woman on reception was incredibly rude and basically laughed in my face! Go to any other GO practice but this one!!!
I rarely have to go to Trowbridge Surgery but when I do the service is always efficient and professional. I had to call the surgery a couple of times today and the receptionists Amina and Sabrina were fantastic. Extremely patient, helpful and knowledgeable. The surgery has a Dr call back service which has changed things for the better. You can now receive a call from a Dr, sometimes on the same day. On many occasions a call is all that’s required rather than an in person appointment. For someone like me, who is time deprived, this service has been a game changer.
This practise is terrible. You struggle to get a booking, the wait times are long past the time of your appointment. The irony is once I was 10mins late, I called ahead to say I was in my way but the Dr refused to see me and told me to call 111. Everyone in the area I know registered to this surgery has issues with them. If you are lucky enough to see a Dr they're fine but have no record of your health.
Today on the 21/06/2024 at 8:15 i called as i had filled a dr IQ and was desperate for my little one to be seen as he had developed a terrible rash. Amina was very polite, professional and robust. She very quickly reacted to our needs and resolved the issue within minutes. Absolute treasure to any company that appreciate loyalty and professionalism.
