The standards of this GP has been going down hill drastically. As this is a GP I would have like to think the hygiene standards would be great. However that is not the case. The uncleanliness of this place is vile. Not only that it is extremely difficult making appointments.
Personally would not go back to this practice Rough is the nicest word I can use The ENT doctors were amazing thank you ! But the receptionist! Wow what a disgrace to the already broken down looking practice Felt like I was at a community centre for troubled youth
I want to add a positive voice on here. I have been a patient with this practice for several decades and have a lot to thank them for over this time. Dr Ahmed and before him Dr Odetoyinbo have helped me to get to the bottom of my v frequent migraine, diagnosed a bad vitamin D deficiency before that was a big thing, got me onto a weight loss programme which finally worked after a lifetime of trying everything, and Dr Desai who stepped in earlier this year to call me an ambulance and get me to hospital when I didn’t realise I needed it, Dr Hanbury who many years ago called an ambulance to take my partner into hospital and thus probably saved his life, and much more. The receptionists are clear and efficient, in several languages. There is no doubt that GPs in general are struggling to meet demand without going into the reasons for this and the NHS setup as a whole has problems: and for many of us the adjustment to online approaches, econsults, etc, is difficult - especially as when you need to use the unfamiliar tools you aren’t at your best! But this should not be confused with the work of the practice, which I have always found to be sympathetic and helpful, particularly when it really really matters.
Ent consultant was great Mr Livi , this review is not about him. Even though it was bad news. Audiologist, was a little condescending in her manner and didnt let me finish explaining or listen properly , also equipment button not working , I decided to stop talking except for essentials , compared to the other place I go to, which is free, night and day. The test was much quicker than previous and she mentioned the white noise part of the test , but that never happened. It just wasn’t as thorough, and felt rushed But the Worst thing , One of the nurses had a terrible vibe , she came into my consultation with the ENT doctor and starting pacing back and forth in the room in an unfriendly manner , what is that about !!! The one star review is for that alone .
The receptionist was polite, but this centre contacted me for a check-up, ignoring my records on file. I have a chronic disease, and they keep asking me to come into their office for a check-up, but I don't know why I need a check-up because the hospital has followed me. A few months ago, I asked to see a GP to resolve the issue with my file they did not believe I had a chronic disease when I registered with them. I was told they weren't available when I requested to see a GP in person. This lack of coordination and inconvenience has been frustrating; until the GP is available face-to-face, face I will not trust them at all. more them that few friends was registered with them but had every bad experience too.
I Mr L Allen, being a long standing patient of the Spitafields Practice, would like to put on record, that my Dr Ahmed and the staff, give me a quality of service, uplifting my health conditions with professionalism and kind thoughts, as I being a stroke survivor. May the quality of service long continue.
Honestly this is one of the worst GPs out there. I’ve had faith on them for years almost 10 years now but they seem to love letting patients down. I can’t even say if I was seen 10 times during these 10 years due to the difficulty in arranging appointments. Doctors are always unavailable or at some sort of leave. If you’re lucky you’ll be assigned to a nurse or a temporary doctor over the phone when you call before 9am. But face to face appointments are just too precious for normal people. Staff are also uncaring about whatever you’d be suffering from. Waiting times over the phone is ridiculous and waiting time on the site is even worse. As you’ll see not everyone over there will be actually working and doing their job. Also you’ll be advised to send an email with your experience so they can “improve the service”. But that is also pointless. Cause people been complaining for years now and nothing changed. In fact it’s getting worse. This practice need to be monitored by medical authorities. An absolute awful joke
Amazing service from receptionists to doctors . So helpful every time I called they did helped me ! Best GP practice I’ve ever had
I have yet to have a positive experience at this practice. Rude staff, left waiting for ages, website is broken the link to register my daughter as a patient takes you to an unsafe website warning?!. I’ve put up with it for 10 years but now I have a child and I can’t even get her seen within a week apparently unless I call every morning before 9 and hope for an opening! A joke.
Receptionist are making fun of you. When you asking for something important they just ignoring and talking to each other and laughing…the worst GP I am in right now…
