It is getting overwhelming to be able to see a doctor even to speak with someone! Called 08.00Am the receptionist saying ‘Doctor will call from 09.00 to 17.00’. I have received an email with instructions to call a pharmacy! The pharmacist after 20 minutes on the phone L, I have a sore throat and barely can talk, she advised me that I need to see a doctor as I would need antibiotics. Called the GP again and they said the pharmacist should send an email. So I had to call again the pharmacist and inform her about the missing email! Called the GP again to ask what is the process after that. Please give us a call after 13.00! Just called and they asked me to call again after 16.00! Is this is a joke?!? I barely can stand and talk and I have been out from work for 2 days! I cannot really deal with so much admin job!!! The receptionist on the last call she advised that Wednesdays is a better day to speak with doctors, I have tried to speak with my health issue and asked to appear during weekdays, but I am not magic as yet! This full situation is Ridiculous!!!! Just an update on this because the story is way crazy…after calling yesterday at 16.00 I have told that the GP would have been looking at my receipt after 17.00! My husband could not go to the pharmacy in the evening as he was at work and I was too bad to go and collect my medication! He went this morning and surprise… NO PRESCRIPTION! I had to call again and ask about that! I could have been dying if I was on my own! This is a huge lack of on doctor duty!!
I am overall a fit and well person but have needed the NHS for several different matters lately. I would like to thank all at the surgery for all the help you have given me. I find the e-Consult works well and you respond quickly and efficiently. Drs and other staff listen and are helpful.
I would like to recommend bridge house healthcare center. It has become much easier to get through the 8.O0 appointments in the morning and the staff at the reception are very attentive. In particular there is a Turkish man who I believe works on Thursdays who is really helpful, attentive and very caring. I got a call yesterday from doctor Rosanne Ellacott. She was very professional and also empathetic. This is the second time I had the chance to speak with her and I felt that she did not rush me, asked me many questions before getting the diagnosis.
That’s my GP forever ! Can’t complain for anything , Dr.Rosanne , Dr Faye and Dr. Sarah also the team looked after me very well always when I called . They are amazing and caring . Thank you for everything , God bless you all ! Alan Capra
All the doctors have been good, except for Dr Brothers, she treated me awful. She accused me of being anxious and making up my symptoms, then told me i was wasting her time and ended the call. I made a complaint but no one responded. I saw another doctor who finally found out what was wrong with me and I got the right treatment. Also, sometimes it's hard to get an appointment. The phone lines open from 8am, but by 9am all appointments are gone. And you're not allowed to physically go to the GP without an appointment. They always have the doors locked and act like they're scared of any human contact. But overall I'm happy with most of the care here. I just wish they were more available to see you.
The team at Bridge House is fantastic, they quickly registered me as a patient and were able to get a prescription renewed quickly before travelling. Would recommend.
Dr Brothers and Dr Ellicott deserve 5 stars, the Res of the service has dropped significantly. I've been with the practice for over 15 years and the past 2 years have been a struggle, from phone calls being hung up when at top of the queue. The admin threats patients horribly with the exception of one or two that are actually know what they're doing and will try their best to help with you. Yet again a position one in the queue and they hung the phone on me!
Dr Ellacot and Dr Brothers do listen and are good GP's. I do not recommend Dr S. Manistre. She simply did not want to know. Sent me for more bloods - asked her what had been done with the high platelet readings in the previous bloods - she ignored this. I informed her my blood pressure and heart beat were significantly high when I was last in ambulatory care at the Whittington. She told me they had not communicated the readings to the GP and if they were "clinically relevant" they would have. I have had to chase this up - not my responsibility as a patient. The doctor ignored the fact that I had been deemed unfit to have investigations and was too unwell to attend consultations of course those readings are a clear indication of this. We have serious health inequalities in our community.
My 84 year old mum braved the freezing sub zero temperature and walked to the surgery on Friday to confirm whether she needed to collect any medication which needs to be taken for 3 full days prior to her appointment on Thursday. Having read my mums appointment letter the receptionist told her she needs do nothing other than turn up. This turned out to be completely the wrong information! Now, because of this receptionist, my mum is unable to collect the medication in time and her appointment has to be cancelled. In my view this is deplorable behaviour. Reception is an administrative role not a medical one and she should have checked with one of the doctors, nurse or pharmacist. Now my mum, rather than being close to a diagnosis of her condition will have to wait in extreme pain and discomfort for at least another 6 months due to the incompetence and lack of concern for a patient from this receptionist. They need to do better.
Kind, friendly and helpful. Gokan really helped me out with a prescription problem today!! Happy to have joined the practice.
