I am shocked at all the bad reviews, I’ve always had a great experience with this Doctors Surgery and I’ve been a lot for myself and my 20 month old son. I’ve seen pretty much all the doctors here and I’ve always been kind, helpful and thorough. I’ve pretty much always got a same day appointment when needed, especially when calling for my son.
Impossible to get an appointment with GP. Still have this backward booking system that you have to phone in at 8am on that day and they don't answer the phone. You call again they will say all appointments have gone. If you are not interested in providing a service then sell to others who want to see patients.
Worst experience ever! Rude staff! My son who is 5 y old has hay fever and is allergic to some medications and foods which has not been diagnosed yet because this Gp refuses to send him to a specialist/ allergic clinic/ X-ray etc. He was admitted to NorthMid hospital in October 2021 and this Sunday the 9th of October 2022 because he had an episode of shortness of breath, it is very scaring he gets wheeze, exhausted, complains about chest pain, can’t walk and the list goes on. I am exhausted for not being able to help my son, I’m tired of seeing my son being neglected by this Gp it’s painful, it’s frustrating. It feels like whatever I say is not taken seriously therefore my son’s health is compromised. On Sunday 9th October 22 I had to rush him to north Middlesex hospital, as I was trying to explain to receptionist in the hospital his symptoms she cups me off by saying that I could go ahead and wait to be called. While at the waiting room, I’ve noticed that a father came through with his son after me but was called before my son, and my son was still in there vomiting and not even able to lift his arm. I went to one of the nurse to ask why my son wasn’t called yet and was told that the child that came after me is asthmatic therefore has priority needs and my reply was SO IS MY SON! But because is condition has not been diagnosed by the GP, he does not get to be seeing urgently when he gets asthma attacks which can be life threatening. I called Dowsett Gp on Monday10th October at 8:30 am to book an appointment for him and the line was always always busy. Between looking after him, making sure he gets the medication on time and eats something I simply did not have time to call them again on that day. This morning at around 10am someone called Simone pickup the call and like always don’t listen, and shouting at the back says that she will book him for next week Thursday… next week Thursday! I could not take it ! I told her ‘ if you would’ve listened to what I was saying would have understood that this is an emergency situation. She insisted on continuing to be rude and unprofessional. I terminated the call while she was saying something because I could not take anymore. I am DONE! This cannot be the norm of how the staff at this Gp treats its patients. Absolutely disgusting. For all these years tolerating their behaviour I am done. Enough of you thinking it is okay to speak with someone like that. You are unprofessional, unprepared, rude every time I came to you. Im not happy with the attention of this GP because everytime i call there is no appointments,on tuesday i called to get an appointment and the nurse that was on call with me wanted me to go that same day but i was working that day so she gave me an appointment for today to check up on me, and when i go they tell me there is no rooms for that sort of check up and the nurse that called me was not even there.

Just got off with a Dr who refused to allow me to finish telling him why I called. He was disrepsectful, dismissive, and woefully misinformed. I strongly discourage patronage of this surgery. They lack competence and basic empathy. None of the staff there should be entrusted with people's health.
It was my mother's surgery and I was her carer. They were never really very helpful. The message was that they were ALWAYS too busy for any concerns we may have and we often felt like we were bothering them. Countless receptionists ranged from cold to incompetent, although one particular lady there was actually very professional and helpful but she left the surgery and things soon changed for the worse. We were always left feeling that there was a lot more they could​ do for us and never really took into account that my mother had so many other ailments that could have been better analysed in order to alleviate some of her issues. I was well aware of how overworked the doctors were but to be honest, I became quite frustrated at hearing it, as it was an excuse that was used for everything. Some G.P.s at the surgery tried towards the end but it was too little too late for my mother. However, after explaining to one of these G.P.s that I suspected that my mother had been mistreated and misdiagnosed at the hospital, she had, which was stalling her treatment, the response was to leave it to the professionals. My mother died shortly after we were told there was nothing wrong with her. Suffice to say that the whole experience has actually left me traumatised and with a phobia of doctors; I haven't seen one for over 20 years because I just don't trust any of them. I'd sooner drop dead where I stand than be tortured like my poor mother was.
I called the surgery because I have a strong back pain and the doctor suggested me to think positive because tomorrow is another day. Thanks for being so helpful
Excellent service from receptionists and GP. My brother is registered there and has many health problems. They always try help out & the GP rang me twice in one day to help out. Excellent service, thank you all
Very rude behaviour receptionists without any reason. Always make problems with simple things. Looking like someone send her to do this job as punishment.
