Spent 3 years with them, and I do not recommend. Doctors are friendly and helpful, when you do get to see them, but overall the service is awful. I always end up waiting an over an hour on the phone, for a phone appointment. My partner and I both had to chase for our own tests results about 4 times. The last straw was when I had to chase my own results following a smear test. I sent an email after waiting 2 months for my tests results, stating that I might not be able to answer the phone and therefore I would rather then sent it to me. They set up a phone appointment with the nurse, for 2 weeks later!! The nurse called me, stating that there had been an issue with my sample and they couldn't analyse it. She was very friendly and apologetic, and I'm aware things can happen. However, I can't believe I had to wait and stress about it for over 2 months, surely they could have just informed me via text or email straight away. Why is it our job to chase our own test results?
Absolutely the worst Gp ever. Bunch of lazy people still using covid an excuse. Meanwhile every other service such as dental services and opticians seems to be back to normal. It’s a dream to even get an appointment face to face. Offered a telephone call, when I’m asthmatic and due for an asthma check with the nurse, and no one even called me. Highly advise every one and anyone who cares about their health and well-being to leave this GP. I’m in the process of finding a new GP. The practice is a joke.
They removed my father from the list of patients. They told us to re-register. They called me, not him, even though he is regularly taking medication that they prescribed and saw him just a month ago. Now I don't know what to do. He has run out of his heart medication. My father is over 70. The whole system is absolutely outrageous. They refused to re-register him again. He cannot do it himself because he doesn't speak English and is a Ukrainian refugee. So, the question arises: on what basis did you remove him, knowing that he visits you regularly? Also, the receptionist was constantly shouting on the phone, was very rude, and tried to prove to me that they contacted my father, even though they did not have his phone number. This is a job dealing with people, and if you can't stand people, why did you choose this job? If something happens to him now without his daily medication, will she take responsibility for this?
I am not impressed, they seem very unorganised so far Things I don’t like: They don’t send you an appointment confirmation text/email. A doctor gave me an unexpected call at 8:00-8:30am which I missed cause I was travelling to work so it’d be nice if the gave you a heads up before calling so early. After missing the call, I called back the reception and they said they will transfer my message to the doctor and he will call me but he never called. Their diagnostic website is bad, it always says “we cannot diagnose please call the GP” I did an xray and blood tests to a diagnostic centre and it’s been 15 days now and I have not heard anything from GP to explain me my test results. The other day I called them to update me about the status of my referral with a rheumatologist, it’s been 6 months that I haven’t heard from anyone and the receptionist told me “there’s nothing we can do, this is the NHS, appointments take too long you know” I am so frustrated that I have to always chase them and they are not helpful at all. Is anyone checking this place to make sure that work is getting done????
WORSE GP EVER !!!!! I tried their online consult to book an appointment but every time it says they’re not taking requests at the moment. I try calling but they never have any available appointments EVER. I just tried calling to book an appointment THEY HUNG UP ON ME before even answering. I have been trying to just get an appointment for a very long time but it’s impossible. I regret signing up to this GP. My family was with Family Practice this whole time but since they merged with this GP, I can’t even speak to our usualy doctor. So unprofessional and carless. The receptionist lady is always so moody and seems like she doesn’t even want to help us.
Nurse Sandra is such a lovely person! She been very professional and helpful. Made me feel very confortable during my visit!
WORLDS WORST GP SURGERY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The worst experience I have ever had, will not ever be going back and advise anyone to give this a hard pass. The most insanely rude receptionist laughing in patients faces when they ask for an update on how long until their appointments that are already 45 minutes late which you had no warning of when you checked in. The most insanely rude nurses. The staff room next to the waiting room could be heard with staff screaming with laughter, insanely unprofessional. Nurses wearing leather mini skirts and looking like they’re ready for a night out and you’re inconveniencing them with your appointment. Patients so unhappy with being laughed at my reception after insane waits just telling the waiting room they are going to take them self to A&E because their treatment has been so bad. I work in the NHS and it actually kills me to see people treated this badly. If you want your health to be taken seriously and treated with respect and dignity don’t waist your time with this practice.
This GP surgery is by far the worst I have ever had to go to. It is super close to my house so signed up. They have messed up really important appointments and booked things at other places incorreclty and there is NEVER anyone to speak to. I have used thier online appointment tool, which advised me to call the GP as was unsafe for it to diagnose me remotely - and still NO ONE avialable to talk to?? Have tried to call a few times and still nothing. I appreciate that times are hard and things at NHS are streched but they are also rude at reception and just unorganised.
Never have I witnessed a surgery as bad as this one! Truly awful. I called with an ailment back in January and waited 2 weeks for a telephone appointment knowing full well I required an examination. After the phone appointment of course I was offered an examination which was another 2 weeks. Once I had the examination an ultrasound was arranged. I was told I should hear about an appointment for that within 2 weeks, and if I don’t hear anything to contact the surgery. Of course I didn’t hear anything after 2 weeks so went in to enquire what was going on. I was told there that an appointment has been arranged no one bothered to make contact to inform me but it was a 10 week wait. Fine! Went to the ultrasound and was told that my GP will contact me with results usually about 2 weeks later. Didn’t hear anything so called them 6 weeks after the ultrasound and was told that they have the results and if i wanted them emailed. Why was I not contacted when they arrived! Another appointment was made to discuss with the GP and it’s another 2 week wait for a telephone appointment. Just to put this into context: I contacted this surgery back in January and I will finally get talking to the GP with results in JULY!! That’s 6 months later!!! Appalling service! Shocking!!
*My experience so far* I had been with my GP Surgery The Family Practice for nearly two decades, and once they merged with this clinic I was anxious about booking appointments or being seen by my regular GP. Little did I know that they now had more doctors to book appointments with and all the familiar faces were around too. I felt very lucky to know that a nurse was also available for appointments, for less urgent needs and she was absolutely AMAZING. I met Nurse Asha during my pregnancy, she was and still is incredible. She is caring and compassionate, actively listens to me and gives me options which I was comfortable with. She was able to make a plan moving forward due to pains and aches I was experiencing, and she was also nice enough to make follow up appointments over the phone to check-in with me. She has been an incredible help towards me, my mental health and hopefully my soon-to-be baby boy. I have never had any complaints from my previous Practice and hoping it will continue this way. Please also note the patients, sometimes telephone appointments are best as there has been a rise in appointments for smaller needs such as coughs and colds. Prescriptions can now be sent electronically to a pharmacy close-by to you – which I find super helpful as I don’t need to make the trip to the GP and then back to the pharmacy. Our doctors and nurses are doing the best they can, given the circumstances, we should be grateful :
