Furniture village is the worst furniture store I have ever bought from. They manufacture and deliver poor quality items, which are then assembled in your home with significant issues. Their items aren’t worth even half of what you pay, and their customer service is shocking. They treat like idiots on the phone. Will never buy here again. Don’t bother responding to this furniture village polite review responder because it’s not worth my time or effort, I’ve had enough of dealing with you for a lifetime and you won’t help regardless because you’re all useless!!
Excellent experience at buying my new Sofa. Dharam and Liam were both patient and guided us through the process and made it very easy without putting any pressure to buy. I'm very happy we went there and found the perfect sofa for us!
Revised review: Unfortunately, I need to revise my review to date. Similar to concerns voiced below, Furtniture Village has repeatedly not lived up to its promise on delivery dates and service. My sales sheet has an estimated delivery date of 4-6 weeks, which has passed by now. I’m getting no guarantee that the bed will even be delivered before Christmas - impacting our planning to re-unite with family. Worse: I have called in five times to be at least confirmed delivery, when the bed becomes available. Not a single time did staff follow up as they told me they would - that is, confirming with the factory about status or have Crina call me back Crina was our initial sales advisor. Deeply disappointed and can only say, be advised of uncertainty involved with shopping here. Initial review: We visited the Furniture Village yesterday to look for a bed fifth store in competition - ended up buying a bed + table and are so happy that we are coming back today to look for more. Thanks for the excellent customer service, patience and time taken to explain considerations, review options, and flexibility in servicing. We had a particularly excellent experience with Crina, who went above and beyond all our expectations in customer service, compared to other experience from practical to high-end Westminster-type shops. Highly recommend and can’t echo concerns raised in other reviews. We normally don’t post on Google, but do look at these reviews, and wanted to share our experience.
If there's anything less than 1 in negative I would like to give to this branch. We ordered 4 months ago a dining table and 6 chairs with a promise to deliver in 13 weeks. After 14 weeks only dining table arrived with no communication about why there isn't chairs. After multiple chaseups they said it would be delivered in 3 weeks So in total today we are on 19th week and chairs hasn't arrived. Absolute disgrace and again with chase ups now they have responded another 4 more weeks. Try to stay far away please.
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE FROM FURNITURE VILLAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS REVIEW. If you are looking for a company that takes pride in their products, will give impartial expert advice, good customer service and responsibility for what they sell, Furniture Village are not that company. On reviews.io you can only leave a review if you have a receipt and order number, so they are genuine 100% real reviews unlike some sites. Of these reviews only 9% are positive reviews, which means that a whopping 91% of customers are unhappy with a product they purchased the customer service or both. This is unsustainable for a company, so if after reading this review you still want to make a purchase from Furniture Village, make sure you do it with a credit card so you can get some money back, when they go into administration, because that is the direction they are headed in. We purchased a fairly expensive bed frame called the Cheltenham made exclusively for Furniture Village, and also a top of the range Hypnos Mattress Ortho Extra firm separately The bed frame has a slatted base that has gaps between the slats 9cm and even 10 cm in places apart. The industry standard is only 7cm and on their own Furniture Village website, under the how to care for your mattress guide they warn you NOT to buy a slatted base that is more than 7cm apart. So why, oh why did they sell one to us? As if this was not bad enough there are also 14 slats missing from our King size slatted base. The pictures on the Furniture Village website for Friern Barnet show this, our invoice shows we purchased the Cheltenham bedstead and it should have 20 slats each side, but ours only has 13 each side, a total of 14 missing slats, which is why we have 9cm and 10cm gaps in between the slatted bases instead of the industry guide lines 7cm. Now even though we have the receipt and pictures showing what we purchased the Cheltenham bed stead, Furniture Village Friern Barnet and Homeserve Furniture Repairs who we will get to in a minute say it's not our bed, its the same name, same order number on the invoice, same colour everything but Furniture Village say its not. It's so farcical it could be a script for a carry on movie. We now have a top of the range Hypnos mattress that is ruined because it has been laying on a 9cm to 10cm slatted base, that Furniture Village warn you not to buy, but they sell? It's unbelievable. We were introduced by Furniture Village to Homeserve Furniture Repairs, who we were led to believe were a type of impartial Ombudsman that would visit and carry out an impartial report. Homerserve Furniture Repairs have negative reviews from The Money Saving Expert, where the word scam is used a lot. They also have many reviews where the key words are, incompetent, woeful, distressing, cowboys, unsavoury, scammers and many more. Google it for yourself if you have time. Homeserve furniture repairs money saving expert scam. Now for customer service, it took us over 3 weeks of constant ringing, where it was suggested you pressed option one for customer service, but would get a message saying mailbox full, and it would hang up with no chance of leaving a message. This is during Covid. So what is everyone doing? Surely there must be one proactive member of staff in the whole of Furniture village that answers the customer service calls or concerns. It appears not. And the most damning thing about it is, that someone somewhere in Furniture Village must read these reviews and know that the company is being run into the ground but still they do nothing. When we finally got through to Luke the manager of Furniture Village Friern Barnet & Stevenage, we genuinely thought, once they realised we had been sold something that was not fit for purpose, against industry guide lines, warned not to purchase on their website, and deemed to make any mattress guarantee invalid, he would apologise and try to rectify it s soon as possible. But no. Photographs they do not lie, 9cm gaps and 10cm gaps. Not fit for purpose and sold to us by Furniture Village.
Recently purchased some new items for our new home, the service was brilliant. Phil was able to advise on different brand products available. Phil was very informative and was able to understand what we were looking for. Thank you Phil for the great service and advise.
