I'm not the type of person to write reviews but after this particular experience I just had to. I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Patrick, after returning to the store to exchange a pair of jeans I realised that I had forgotten my receipt. luckily I was served by a lovely young lad called Patrick who reassured me that he could look up my purchase on the system. I then exchanged my jeans for a snazzy new pair and left the store a very happy customer. Again, I want to thank Patrick for his help and I wish him all the best.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Today I went to this shop to try one more time to get shoes for my kids. I had been dissatisfied with their services twice before, but then I thought I should give them another chance. Terrible experience. I wish I hadn’t tried! When I last visited, the shop was absolutely empty, no customers at all, and even so I had no help from the staff. They seemed not to care about my needs and all they could do was walk around the boxes and shelves. Today, my experience was even worse. I can’t understand how a business can survive being so terrible on what they do. I heard so many people complaining and nobody seemed to be bothered. The manager was too comfortable standing by his computer in the shop entrance, looking at some papers, while dozens of customers were waiting to be served. I left my house intending to get 4 pair of shoes and I came home with none. There is something seriously wrong with their customer services and sales strategy. Selling shoes is their core business and they are not even doing what they are there for ! Lack of management. Disgraceful!
It has always been a bit disorganised and very slow at the tills but today: 14min in the queue to pay with 4 people in front of me and there are still 2 guys in the front and I still have not paid. Jesus Christ get more ppl to work or get faster people.
I have been a regular Sports Direct customer for years and this is the first time I used the online store. I had a credit note from a previous purchase I wanted to use, unfortunately my local shop didn't have what I needed. So I took the advice of the shop assistant to search for what I wanted online with its own number and input my credit note number. The whole process was easy, simple, and ran smoothly. My tracksuits arrived within a few days. I am so happy that the tracksuits I bought fit me perfectly and are very comfortable. The prices here are very good. They have lots of good deals too. If you want affordable sports gear for any of your needs, Sport Direct is the place for you. The shop is usually tidy and well organised. I have noticed over the years when there are less staff it tends to get quite messy. For example, if you want to try on a pair of trainers for your size there is usually one or two members of staff to assist and it can take a long time to wait when there are too many customers in the shop. This is the fault of management rather than staff. The staff in general are cool and friendly. Kudos to them. The only reason I knocked one star off is the fitting room. The lack of them actually. The only place to try stuff on is the one room at the back next to the counters that partially conceals you. It can feel quite embarrassing when it's crowded here. Everyone else in the shop can almost see you. Fitting rooms are supposed to privates spaces. I don't see why they can invest in a proper one. A little market research won't hurt. Overall I highly recommend.
One of the better Sports Direct stores. It's spacious, well staffed and staff are helpful and pleasant. Might be a different story on a busy weekend.
Pretty much go to shop for me for sports kit. It's not perfect and sometimes things are out of stock but it's also reasonably simply resolved. Not sure where I stand on this "no monetary refund, just store credit", but hey.
We prefer to come to this branch because the service is amazing the shop is always organised and clean...compare to the one in Brean Cross that is the opposite....‍
Wow! Amazing staff at this store. I have just left after purchasing 2 pairs of trainers, thanks to Carl, I think that was his name , his product knowledge on trainers helped me today. His friendly manner was outstanding! Sam on the till was extremely pleasant.
Shocking manners of a staff member. I was at the shoes section - which was a mess, and one of the staff members asked me were some shoes were and I said I didn’t know. He then laughed at me and said “I just organised this all a minute ago and I arrive now and it’s all messy!” implying I went through the boxes. Disgusting behaviour and I must add I am heavily pregnant and I can’t bend over to reach for boxes. I also understand that’s a staff Member job, to regularly check and organise the sock instead of blaming customers because he thinks but didn’t actually see someone went through the boxes. Why does he assume a customer messed up the shoe section? I expect an explanation.
I just wanted to say thank you to the fantastic assistant who helped me find the correct trainers for my Zumba classes - these sketchers are SO MUCH better than my original pair! Thank you for your expertise and kindness. It really made a difference to my exercise classes. Great advice and service - thanks so much
