On my visit everything was great. I had MRI done, no wait and staff were friendly. There is free parking at hospital but you have to enter your number plate inside at kiosk, car park is really spacious. As far as I know there is no A&E only walk-in centre where you can be treated for minor injuries.
One of my favourite hospitals to have blood tests or be treated at A&E. Thank you so much everyone! The Reception desk team were very helpful and friendly people. Of course, every A&E department warns you of waiting from 3-5 hours to be seen by a doctor or nurse… I was waiting for 4 hours until I spoke to a nurse. I was instantly told “if you have high fever or are bleeding- you will be seen first.” I had a large cyst under my arm and was in tremendous pain for a few days. It seemed rather disappointing that patients waiting in A&E are all ranked in order of their pain levels.. Rather than “first come, first served.” One of the nurses told me to visit A&E at Whittington Hospital or UCLH next time.. So, with all of that being said, it has indeed been noted!
Originally I started going here for blood tests- I usually faint and don't deal well with blood tests but the nurses here are really skilled and never hurts, they're understanding and supportive. I've recently been to the walk in clinic twice now and have been amazed by the service. They say that the estimated waiting time is roughly 3.5 hours but i always have been seen a lot faster than this and again, the nurses here are fantastic. In particular today I dealt with nurse Michael who helped me understand what is happening to me in detail and took care to help my issue. Thank you for your service!
All these years, I have been to this hospital many times, mainly minor injuries of children or me. Almost all experiences have been great. I went there today for blood sugar test. It was easy and convenient to book online. I have forgotten to bring my test form with me so needed to rush home and was 15 minutes late. The receptionist was very helpful and considerate, all staff are friendly, I have to say thank you to them all.
Great , clean and new hospital. I have used Walk-in clinic on few occasions, waiting time around 3hr but I guess it depends on the day. Receptionists friendly and helpful... very positive experience overall.
We are so lucky to have a walk-in centre within a couple of miles from us. Always struggling to get a gp appointment post Covid. We had less than a 2hr wait and saw a great nurse who was kind and thorough. More people should use this service rather than blocking up A&E!
Honestly, if you are in need of medical help you’re better off calling 999. Constantly being told incorrect information, being sent from department to department to only go back to the initial person because I should have been given a referral??? Then being told to come back the next day?!? I have never considered private health care more today then ever before. If I could leave less than one star I would. The staff are not sympathetic to their patients and genuine questions are met with blunt replies and a “not my problem” attitude. Honestly just a waiting room before you collapse or worse.
I had to attend for a medical self-help course on a Saturday. It was very quiet with no sign of activity. I'm not sure if there are wards. I assume so, but it isn't like a busy hospital with people coming and going. Parking was free as we using the hospital services on a weekend. It might not be free during the week.
On arrival there was a big sign stating you should be seen for triage after 20 mins. When I questioned the receptionist after 2 hours she told me there was no triage. In quite a rude manor. We waited over four hours to be seen by a nurse and there seemed to be no order as lots of people came in after us. And we’re seen first. I had a nasty dog bite which didn’t get clean for over four hours by which time had sealed up. Found receptionist rude . 4 and a quarter hours to be seen not great.
Great for blood tests with free parking just remember to enter your vehicle registration number into the consoles located within the hospital- there's plenty of them and well publicised, very friendly and caring staff and a Costa inside for snacks. Much more convenient than Chase Farm or Barnet General..
