I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton during my recent business trip. The check-in process was seamless, and the front desk staff, especially anastasia made me feel right at home. My room was spotless, spacious, and had an incredible view of the city. The breakfast buffet was top-notch with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. I also appreciated the convenient location, which was close to local attractions and transport options. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to returning!”
The room though is dated but the location is excellent to visit both parks and walking distance to Notting Hill and various transport systems All the service staff were friendly and helpful. Manager on duty 20 Nov afternoon was great to provide a positive experience service Rooms: Dated but covers the required essential Nearby activities: Lots of Asian food and supermarkets nearby. Kensington and Hyde Park were nearby Safety: General felt safe Walkability: Yes to many amenities Food & drinks: Yes with its own cafe and many others outside Noteworthy details: Great Service Staff
Close to Hyde park and well access for public transportation. Exceptional staff, especially Jason at front desk. Very honestly helpful and caring person. Definitely plan to come back. Rooms quiet and reasonable size for London.
Location was great and a major factor in selecting this Hilton. We also selected because they offer balcony rooms, which is what I booked and prepaid for. Unfortunately, check in was a nightmare. Arrived a little after 3pm - kept being told my room was not ready, an hour later I was offered 2 free drinks in the bar because the room was almost ready. 15-20 minutes later Jason brought me the keys. After a long travel day, we were ready to get to our room. Upon entering the room, there was NO balcony. I went back to front desk to be told the balcony rooms had no AC and the room I was given was my only option. Interestingly, there were guest in those rooms during my entire stay. They did issue a credit for the difference; however, the situation was not handled properly. We really wanted to be able to sit on a balcony with a glass of wine after exploring. If a balcony is important to you, be cautious.
Superb staff make this a really good place to stay when visiting London. They couldn't do enough to help. It’s a long way out of the city centre, necessitating a tube ride or taxi into the centre - £38 last night! Room floor had hair clippings when we arrived but otherwise warm and comfortable. Food is basic but tasty and hot! Noteworthy details: Jason leads a friendly and helpful staff team. A young ladyMaria? offered to hail a cab and the barman was very helpful.
Front desk Manager, Jason, was outstanding. His local restaurant suggestions were excellent. He made sure that all our needs were met and he went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied. Truly a pleasure dealing with him. Every one of his recommendations were right on, including how to get to Heathrow on time. The hotel location, Hyde Park / Notting Hill is great. Walkability: Tube stations nearby to get you anywhere in the city. Food & drinks: Great restaurants within walking distance
Avoid this place at all costs. I’m not sure how it’s rated as a 4 star hotel. When I got to my room there was a sticky residue all over the floor on one side of the bed and the bathroom was dirty. I was tired from a long flight so decided to ignore it and take a shower. While in the shower I discovered that the conditioner was empty in a room that I just checked into I called front desk and complained about the empty toiletries and dirty room and they offered to move me to a new room. They were apologetic and gave me a room on a higher floor as an upgrade. However this room was worse than the first one. I’ve attached pictures of how broken and run down it is. There were strands of hair in the bathroom floor, marks on the bedsheets, dust mites in the corners, marks on the toilet seat and dried up liquid on the floor. The room itself is falling apart as well. And as if things couldn’t possibly get any worse my first morning there I saw insects crawling on the ceiling. Absolutely disgusting and without a doubt the dirtiest and worst hotel i’ve ever stayed at. The only positive is that the staff so far have all been very friendly and welcoming.
The worst experience in London ever! Rooms were too small and not clean. No drinking water, no hairdryer. The room had kettle boiler and tea but ironically no cups. The toilet did not contain toilet paper until we had to request it. One of our rooms did not contain even a trash bin. Although floor was dirty no slippers provided and my socks were black from the dirt. This is not even a 3 stars criteria. The only good thing is the location.
My wife and I stayed in one room and my sister in another. The rooms were not huge but perfectly adequate and on a par with other 4-star London hotels. I was impressed by the front-desk staff and Housekeeping. When we arrived, our room was ready but my sister's was not and the Receptionist said she'd call us when the room was ready - in fact she came up to our room with my sister's door key. My sibling checked out before us and a little later Housekeeping knocked on our door with a box of costume jewelry that she'd left behind. We were most impressed! We were a bit disappointed by the breakfast - there was sufficient choice but the hot food didn't seem as hot as it should have been.
I'm an American, so of course I thought the rooms were a bit small, but you have to remember where you are. For London it was quite spacious. Located closely to public transportation and restaurants, I found everything I needed here. Stayed for 10 days and would go back. Room offered king-sized bed, armoire, and desk with chair, perfect for business travel. Had fridge, electric kettle, and espresso machine and is in walking distance to the Westfield mall. Fantastic hotel. Walkability: A few blocks from the subway and less than a 2 mile walk from the Westfield mall. Bus stop for site seeing tours was literally out front of hotel
