I stayed for 10 days in December 2019. All the staff are very kind and friendly. Even though breakfast is free, it is very filling and delicious. Even when I developed appendicitis in the middle of the night, they immediately called an ambulance and were very helpful. Thank you very much. While I was in the hospital, my friends who were not good at English spoke to her warmly and were really kind to us. Great staffs, great services and great hotel. I will definitely go and stay again.I want to see staffs again! Thank you for your kindness! Walkability: Conveniently located within walking distance from Bayswater and Queensway stations. Food & drinks: Even though breakfast is free, it is very filling and delicious.
Booked last minute as it was the cheapest choice in the area and my goodness it was the worst! There's no hot shower shared bathroom and no heating in the room so it gets cold at night. The absolute worst part is being woken up by the bed bugs! I had terrible marks on my skin and the bed is filthy enough to nest these insects! I doubt the management will look into these problems and I would recommend to find a hostel or pay extra for a nicer accommodation as this was not worth it, you will end up staying up the whole night from either the coldness or the bugs as I was.
Fine for the price. Didn't experience the negative that some reviewers have mentioned other than numerous laundry bags stacked in corridors. Bathroom appeared fairly recently decorated, bedroom simple and sufficient. Ditto breakfast.
The toilet ends before its start. A person can't even turn inside the toilet and same as the shower. I think there is a Morro an lady at the reception and she is the cook also. She is exceptionally nice and makes your breakfast. This hotel is good for a night to spend. There is no automatic punch card lock system to the doors but still they are managing with keys. Overall my experience at this hotel was...... Okay......!
Would leave less than one star if it was possible. The place was disgusting, rotten skirting board, flaking paint work, mouse bait boxes everywhere, no staff available to speak to if you have concerns or issues, dirty run down cold shower. We stayed because we had a family trip to London with our two children and wanted somewhere which was basic as it was only for one night. This was worse than hostels and to be honest I would rather have been camping at least my tent would have been clean! We didn’t stay for the breakfast because it was such an unclean place, we couldn’t find anyone to speak to so contacted the hotel after and they were less than helpful and actually very rude. Stay at your own risk! Worth spending a bit more and going elsewhere!
DO NOT STAY HERE. Firstly got really bad bed bites from the bed, the rooms were distgusting. Walls filthy dirty, broken furniture in the room. Misadvertised on booking. Com as no TV or shower in this room. This hotel is more like a homeless shelter, its so rundown. Contacted the hotel to tell them about the bed bugs, they informed me that they would investigate and would get back to me. Three weeks later no one has contacted me
Turned up to this hotel after 30 hours travel from NZ. Staff were polite and informative and room was basic and clean. There have been some bad reviews but to be honest dont expect the 4 seasons for this price. Was a good place to explore Kensington gardens, get some dinner then sleep off the jetlag. As I said, was clean and affordable. Speaking to the owner he was doing alot of maintenance so will only improve.
Terrible hotel that is delapitated and falling apart. There are no private bathrooms or showers, so you have to wrap yourself in a towel and walk outside your room whenever you take a shower. Wallpaper is peeling off, the carpets, curtains fixtures are falling apart, and the curtains so dusty I swear there's a dust storm Everytime you touch them. Hotel needs major renovation. I also wouldn't be surprised if it shut down to health concerns. Faded, stained carpet everywhere. Stairs are very creaky.
This is not a 5 star hotel, this is a budget hostel. It is a very old building which seems to be managed entirely by one woman who is simultaneously the receptionist, the cleaning staff, and all in between, and is clearly in need of a budget to tend to the wear on this well-used old place. There are some cracks in the walls, some stains on the carpet, and some dirt in the corners, but nothing that made me feel compromised in security or comfort. It's a charming old building with antiquated features like a pull-cord flush toilet and a hidden staircase through the cupboard under the stairs, and staying here made me feel like I had stepped back in time - which I enjoyed. My double bedroom was appropriately decorated with an old fashioned clothes closet and vanity, and included a private sink with medicine cabinet. There were a variety of pillows of varying firmness, the sheets were clean, clean towels were provided, and it was very quiet. Wifi is available and posted at the foot of the stair below the ground floor. The location is right around the block from Queensway and Bayswater tube stations, as well as a Sainsburys market and many shops and restaurants, yet the back of the building looks onto a quiet, contained yardspace. Most remarkable of all, the poor overworked manager, Karmel, was completely delightful despite how spread thin she is. If you prefer more modern amenities then this is probably not the place for you, but I was perfectly comfortable and would be happy to stay again.
Centrally located in near Hyde park. Bathrooms are located in the hallway. We paid £60 for a room with four beds. Breakfast included. The hotel is shabby, but rooms are clean. If you only want a room to crash for the night this hotel is quite ok. Might stay here again if I only wanted a bed for the night.
